We build and connect technologies to help protect people, property and places. Our solutions foster the collaboration that’s critical for safer communities, safer schools, safer hospitals, safer businesses, and ultimately, safer nations. Department Overview

Our organization plays a pivotal role in driving extraordinary business results. Through deep, collaborative partnerships across the enterprise, we bring innovative thinking to every conversation and deliver solutions with unwavering integrity.

We look for team members who contribute bold ideas and elevate the thinking of our partners. We are intellectually curious trusted advisors—not order takers—who focus relentlessly on outcomes to creatively solve complex business challenges. We thrive on transformation and seek leaders who not only embrace change, but actively accelerate it.

Job Description

It is an exciting time within our Enterprise Core Technology group as we transform critical business functions with leading-edge technology. We are seeking an exceptional Oracle Techno-Functional Specialist to bridge the gap between business processes and technical execution across our Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Cloud environments.

In this role, you will balance functional analysis—including requirements elicitation, process mapping, and module configuration—with hands-on technical delivery across Oracle tools, API integrations, and reporting solutions. You will play a pivotal role in aligning enterprise software capabilities with strategic business objectives to deliver seamless, scalable, and resilient solutions.

Scope of Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Functional & Technical Specification: Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into robust Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and Technical Design Documents (TDDs).
  • Hands-On Solution Delivery: Configure core Oracle ERP modules and develop custom technical solutions leveraging native Oracle development tools and frameworks.
  • Systems Integration: Architect and implement secure REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and automated data pipelines connecting Oracle with third-party enterprise platforms.
  • Process Optimization: Lead business process re-engineering, gap analyses, and setup configurations across core operational and financial workstreams.
  • Data Architecture & Integrity: Support high-volume transactional and master data structuring, governance, validation, and analytics across enterprise systems.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate directly with business leaders, functional workstream leads, and solution architects to validate design decisions, refine requirements, and drive user adoption.
  • Testing & Transformation Delivery: Drive end-to-end data migration, functional validation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and system integrations during enterprise upgrades and cloud modernization initiatives.
  • Tier-3 Production Support: Provide advanced techno-functional troubleshooting, perform root-cause analyses on complex production issues, and engineer sustainable, long-term resolutions.

Desired Background, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Oracle Techno-Functional Mastery: Proven expertise balancing functional configuration and technical development across Oracle EBS (R12) and Oracle Cloud Applications / Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Core ERP Domain Knowledge: In-depth functional understanding of core operational workflows, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), or Oracle Financials suites.
  • Technical Development & Reporting: Hands-on experience developing BI Publisher/XML Publisher reports, custom interfaces, workflows, and database procedures using SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Integration & Middleware: Strong background in API integrations, web services, and data transformation, with hands-on experience in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or enterprise middleware platforms preferred.
  • Methodology & Documentation Standards: Demonstrated proficiency in business process mapping, gap analysis, and authoring AIM/OUM deliverables (such as MD050 and MD070 specifications).
  • Testing & Change Enablement: Proven track record leading test cycle execution, coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and delivering end-user training to accelerate adoption.
  • Modern Delivery Frameworks: Solid working knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies, version control systems (e.g., Git), and enterprise DevOps release practices.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities paired with strong interpersonal skills, capable of communicating technical nuances clearly to non-technical business partners.

Target Base Salary Range: $100,000 USD - $110,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
