Job description

Superior Insurance Partners is a rapidly growing insurance brokerage platform specializing in commercial lines, personal lines, and employee benefits solutions for businesses and individuals across the United States. Through strategic acquisitions and long-term partnerships with leading independent agencies, Superior has built a strong presence throughout the Midwest and Eastern U.S.

At the core of Superior’s approach is its mission: to improve the lives of its Agency Partners by supporting their personal, professional, and financial goals. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model, Superior develops customized growth strategies tailored to each partner agency’s unique vision and objectives. Agency partners gain access to a robust shared-services platform that includes accounting and finance, recruiting, human resources, AMS/IT support, marketing, and M&A expertise — allowing local agencies to maintain their entrepreneurial culture while benefiting from the scale, resources, and best practices of a larger organization. Long-term economic alignment ensures partners remain invested in the collective success and growth of the platform.

Superior Insurance Partners is backed by Tyree & D'Angelo Partners (“TDP”), a leading Chicago-based private equity firm focused on investing in and partnering with lower middle-market businesses. TDP companies have completed over 1,000 partnerships, have grown to over $4 billion of enterprise value, and TDP has over $1.4 billion of capital under management.

Seren Specialty Insurance (SEREN) is a boutique program management and insurtech company providing insurance solutions to the specialty liability insurance market. SEREN offers beginning to end policyholder, underwriting, claims management, risk management and distribution services. By providing a platform with a full suite of services we can maximize the use of capital within the insurance industry to our owned and contracted companies.

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as a Trucking Property Damage Claims Adjuster. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial auto and trucking liability claims, with specific expertise in investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving third-party property damage claims.

Job Responsibilities:

Property Damage Claims Management

  • Handle third-party vehicle damage, total losses, loss of use, rental expenses, diminished value, towing, storage, cargo-related property damage, and other associated property damage exposures.
  • Review police reports, witness statements, photographs, repair estimates, and investigative findings to determine liability and appropriate settlement values.
  • Evaluate vehicle repair estimates, total loss valuations, salvage opportunities, and reasonable repair costs.
  • Identify opportunities for early resolution while controlling claim severity and associated expenses.
  • Establish, monitor, and maintain accurate claim reserves based on ongoing evaluations and claim developments.
  • Ensure timely investigation, documentation, and resolution of assigned claims.

Negotiation and Settlement

  • Negotiate settlements directly with claimants, attorneys, repair facilities, insurance carriers, and other involved parties.
  • Develop and execute effective settlement strategies that minimize claim costs while ensuring fair and appropriate resolutions.
  • Evaluate and challenge unsupported repair estimates, excessive storage charges, loss-of-use demands, and other questionable damages.
  • Identify and pursue subrogation and recovery opportunities when appropriate.
  • Obtain necessary settlement documentation and releases before issuing payments.
  • Resolve claims within established settlement authority and company guidelines.

Communication and Customer Service

  • Maintain proactive and professional communication with insureds, claimants, attorneys, investigators, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide timely claim updates and clearly communicate liability decisions, settlement positions, and next steps.
  • Build productive relationships with policyholders and transportation industry partners.
  • Respond promptly to correspondence, inquiries, and time-sensitive claim matters.
