Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled, self-motivated Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. In this role, you will be the guardian of our production environments, responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. You will bridge the gap between development and operations by applying software engineering principles to system administration, managing error budgets, and defining Service Level Objectives (SLOs).

- Reliability & Performance: Define, measure, and manage Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and error budgets to ensure system reliability.
- Incident Management: Lead incident response, troubleshoot complex system issues, and conduct blameless post-mortems to prevent recurrence.
- Observability & Monitoring: Design and implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and distributed tracing strategies to detect and resolve issues proactively.
- Pipeline & Platform Engineering: Maintain and scale CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and build automation to reduce toil and improve developer productivity.
- Infrastructure Management: Debug and resolve complex application and platform issues running on Kubernetes and Docker.
- Capacity Planning: Monitor system performance, forecast resource requirements, and scale infrastructure efficiently to meet demand.
- Security & Compliance: Integrate security practices into the platform, ensuring compliance and automated remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with product and platform teams to build reliable systems, standardize run patterns, and champion an SRE culture.
- Knowledge Sharing: Create clear documentation, runbooks, and disaster recovery plans; promote best practices across all engineering teams.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills; able to lead war rooms and articulate complex technical issues.
- SRE Fundamentals: Deep understanding of SRE principles, including SLOs, error budgets, toil reduction, and incident management.
- Containers & Orchestration: Strong, hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and Docker. You must be able to expertly diagnose pods, logs/events, probes, networking, resources, and volumes.
- OS & Scripting: Solid Linux fundamentals (processes, networking, filesystems, permissions) and deep proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Observability Mastery: Extensive experience with monitoring and logging stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch) and distributed tracing.
- Cloud Fundamentals: Practical AWS knowledge, including IAM, VPC/networking fundamentals, EC2/EKS, S3, and CloudWatch.
- CI/CD & Automation: Platform experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Git workflows.
- Software Lifecycle: Working knowledge of modern service lifecycles (Java/Spring Boot or similar) and how to run/containerize them reliably.
- Modern Workflows: Comfortable leveraging AI coding and editing tools to deliver faster without compromising quality.
- Proactive learner with a strict ownership mindset, fully accountable for uptime. Calm under pressure, capable of operating independently and driving solutions end‑to‑end.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Terraform, Helm, and Kustomize.
- Deeper AWS experience encompassing ECR, ALB/NLB, RDS, and Parameter Store/Secrets Manager.
- Familiarity with admission control (OPA/Gatekeeper/Kyverno) and software supply‑chain controls.
- Experience with chaos engineering, fault injection, or building performance/load testing frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise release management in regulated environments (change tickets, CABs).
