Job description

About Vocantas and Eziway

Vocantas is a workforce communications and management software company helping organizations simplify complex scheduling and workforce coordination. Its platform automates shift filling, absence reporting, employee communications, vacation planning, and other time-consuming workforce processes, with customers across healthcare, manufacturing, service and delivery, and retail.

In Australia, Vocantas works closely with Eziway, an Australian-founded company based in Pakenham, Victoria. Since 2007, Eziway has supported the not-for-profit sector with salary packaging, novated leasing, and technology designed to make these services easier to manage. Eziway works with organizations across public health, aged care, charities, community services, and other not-for-profit sectors throughout Australia.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Account Executive to help build Vocantas’ presence in Australia. As one of our first sales hires in the market, you’ll own the full sales cycle and develop new business across healthcare and manufacturing, while working closely with the Eziway team to identify opportunities within their established Australian customer network.

You’ll have the backing of two experienced businesses while taking meaningful ownership of a new market for Vocantas — from building pipeline and running sales conversations to closing customers and helping shape how we approach Australia.

Location: Remote (possibility to work in a hybrid mode if located near Pakenham)

What You’ll Own

Build Vocantas’ customer base in Australia

  • Own a new-business quota across healthcare, including hospitals, aged care and community health, as well as manufacturing, distribution, and food production.
  • Build pipeline through outbound prospecting, events, referrals, partner channels, and opportunities within Eziway’s customer network.
  • Identify opportunities at the Australian sites of existing global Vocantas customers and develop them into local pilot programs and commercial relationships.
  • Build relationships with operations, workforce management, nursing, HR, and plant leaders, navigating multiple stakeholders throughout the buying process.

Own the full sales cycle

  • Lead opportunities from prospecting and discovery through demos, business cases, proposals, negotiation, and close.
  • Understand each customer’s workforce challenges and clearly connect Vocantas’ solutions to their operational needs.
  • Build business cases around Vocantas’ usage-based commercial model rather than traditional per-seat pricing.
  • Launch and manage pilot programs and work to convert successful pilots into long-term customer relationships.

Work closely with Eziway and the wider Vocantas team

  • Partner with Eziway, learning their customer base, participating in account planning, and identifying cross-sell opportunities alongside their team.
  • Partner with Vocantas’ implementation, support, and product teams in Canada to provide customers with a smooth transition from sale to implementation.
  • Keep Salesforce accurate and maintain reliable weekly forecasts.
  • Bring back insights on Australian buying processes, enterprise agreements, compliance requirements, competitors, and customer needs to help shape Vocantas’ local positioning.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years of B2B SaaS sales experience as an Account Executive or in another closing role.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding quota, with results you can clearly walk us through.
  • Experience selling into healthcare, manufacturing, or both within Australia.
  • Comfort managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from first conversation through signed contract.
  • The ability to build pipeline independently and take ownership without relying on a large local sales team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior operational leaders.
  • Experience working with a CRM such as Salesforce.
  • Based in Melbourne and able to work from Pakenham two days per week.
  • Full working rights in Australia.

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience selling workforce management, rostering, scheduling, or communications software.
  • Knowledge of the Australian aged care, public hospital, or manufacturing landscape and its buying processes.
  • Familiarity with Australian awards, enterprise agreements, or workforce compliance requirements.
  • Experience selling usage-based or consumption-based pricing.
  • Experience launching a product into a new market or selling alongside a partner or sister company.
  • An existing network of healthcare or manufacturing operations leaders in Victoria.

Why Vocantas and Eziway?

  • Have a visible impact on a growing market: You’ll be one of Vocantas’ first sales hires in Australia, giving you meaningful ownership over the customers you pursue and how we build the market locally.
  • Work alongside an established Australian team: You’ll spend part of your week with Eziway’s team in Pakenham, giving you local colleagues, market knowledge, and access to an established customer network rather than building entirely on your own.
  • Get variety in the opportunities you work on: Your pipeline will include net-new business, Eziway cross-sell opportunities, and Australian expansions of existing global Vocantas customers.
  • Stay close to the people making decisions: Both teams are small enough that you’ll work directly with colleagues and leadership across sales, product, implementation, and customer teams, and your market feedback will be heard.
