Job description

Do you know the difference between a brand that posts and a brand that people actually talk about? We’re looking for a culturally fluent Social Media Manager to lead organic social for our millennial and Gen Z consumer brands. You’ll own strategy and execution across our clients’ channels, build and run UGC programs that turn real customers and creators into a brand’s best content engine, and spot the cultural moments worth jumping on before everyone else does. You’ll know what drives views and engagement on every platform, optimize relentlessly, and report on results in a way clients understand and act on. You’ll be the day-to-day lead for social media client relationships, the person who solves problems before they become problems, and the creative mind who knows exactly when a post can be made in Canva and when it needs a designer’s touch. This is an ideal position for someone who lives at the pulse of culture, brings strategic rigor to every idea, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment.

Responsibilities:

Your role would include, but not be limited to, the following:

Social Strategy & Execution
Develop and lead organic social strategies across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and emerging platforms that ladder up to client business goals.
Own content calendars from concept to publish, writing platform-native copy and captions in each brand’s voice.
Create on-brand assets in Canva, and write clear, detailed creative briefs for designers on assets that require custom design or motion.
Oversee community management and engagement, ensuring every brand shows up consistently and responsively.

UGC Programs
Plan and run UGC campaigns within social, from concept and creator sourcing to briefing, content review, and publishing.
Write UGC briefs that deliver authentic, platform-ready content aligned with campaign objectives.
Manage usage rights and repurpose UGC across owned channels and paid support.
Build a repeatable UGC content engine that keeps client channels fresh and drives engagement and conversion.

Culture & Trendjacking
Monitor culture, trends, memes, and platform features daily, and identify trendjacking opportunities that fit each brand.
Move quickly from idea to approval to post so clients show up in the conversation while it still matters.
Bring proactive, culturally relevant ideas to clients that resonate with millennial and Gen Z audiences.

Performance, Optimization & Reporting
Optimize content for views and engagement by testing hooks, formats, lengths, captions, audio, and posting times, and apply what works to future content.
Understand how each platform’s algorithm distributes content, and adjust strategy to maximize reach, watch time, and retention.
Track views, reach, engagement rate, watch time, saves, shares, and follower growth across organic social and UGC.
Build and present monthly client reports that connect performance to business goals, with clear insights, wins, and recommended next steps.
Use native analytics and social reporting tools to monitor performance in real time and course-correct quickly.

Client Leadership
Serve as the day-to-day lead for client relationships, building strong rapport and trust.
Anticipate challenges and solve problems with clear, confident recommendations.
Mentor and guide coordinators, and contribute to internal process improvements.

Skills & Qualifications:

This is important | Please only apply if:
4+ years of agency experience in social media management (minimum).
Based in the US or Canada and authorized to work there.
Proven experience planning and running UGC campaigns within social, including briefing creators and managing usage rights.
A proven track record of growing views and engagement, with a strong understanding of platform algorithms, hooks, and retention.
Experience building and presenting client-ready performance reports that turn data into clear recommendations.
Advanced Canva skills, plus experience briefing designers on custom assets.
A track record of trendjacking and moving at the speed of culture for millennial and Gen Z consumer brands.
Excellent client rapport, with strong communication and presentation skills.
Sharp problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm and decisive under tight timelines.
Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple clients at once.
Familiarity with CapCut, social scheduling and analytics tools, Notion, and Google Drive is a plus.

Unfortunately, if you do not meet these requirements, we will not be able to respond.
