Job Description

We are looking for a mid-level Android Engineer to join a cross-functional feature team within the Android chapter, building and maintaining features in a Kotlin app with Jetpack Compose and an internal design system. You will work on features, migrate legacy XML screens to Compose, and implement asynchronous flows such as background uploads during multi-step forms. You should also use AI coding tools daily and be able to validate their output, communicate clearly in English, and work with full overlap in the Italian time zone (CET/CEST).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features in a native Kotlin app, using Jetpack Compose and the internal design system.

• Migrate legacy XML screens to Compose when working on older parts of the app.

• Implement asynchronous flows such as background uploads while users continue through multi-step forms.

• Work as the Android developer within a cross-functional feature team, from technical design to release and monitoring.

• Take part in code and design reviews and support teammates across the Android chapter.

• Use AI coding tools in the daily workflow and validate every output before submitting it.

Key Requirements

• Willingness to work in the Italian time zone with full overlap.

• 3+ years of native Android development with Kotlin, with native Android as the main focus in recent years.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.

• Good knowledge of asynchronous programming with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.

• Experience with dependency injection using Hilt.

• Knowledge of clean code principles and architectural patterns, with at least a conceptual understanding of MVI.

• Experience consuming REST APIs.

• Daily use of AI coding tools (Claude, Codex or similar), with the ability to explain and validate the generated code.
