We do things differently

Senior Business Analyst (LATAM)

What You'll Do

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will lead collaboration with customers, business stakeholders, and technology teams to deliver initiatives aligned to product strategy and business goals. This role combines product-oriented leadership with strong business analysis rigor to own requirement decisions, improve delivery outcomes, and ensure solutions provide measurable value. You will drive cross-functional alignment across complex initiatives, support effective change adoption through implementation, and partner with Product Management on prioritization by providing value, risk, and dependency analysis while Product Management retains final prioritization ownership.

In this role, you’ll serve as a senior technical analyst across key initiatives—analyzing business needs, mapping system behavior, and defining precise functional specifications that align business goals with technical execution. Excellent analysis requires both deep system knowledge and modern ways of working. That’s why we’re looking for BAs who already use AI to sharpen how they gather requirements, write documentation, and troubleshoot complex issues, and who are curious about where AI takes the craft next.

Specifically, you will:

  • Drive Discovery & Problem Definition: Lead customer and stakeholder discovery to define business problems, desired outcomes, and measurable success criteria.

  • Own & Refine Requirements: Own and refine requirements for complex initiatives, including user stories and acceptance criteria aligned to product strategy and business objectives.

  • Evaluate Scope & Tradeoffs: Lead cross-functional decisions on scope, sequencing, dependencies, and tradeoffs to keep delivery aligned with roadmap objectives.

  • Develop Business Cases: Own the development of business cases that define value, scope boundaries, assumptions, risks, and measurable success metrics for proposed initiatives.

  • Support Backlog & Roadmap Planning: Drive backlog refinement and roadmap-planning inputs by providing value, risk, and dependency analysis while Product Management retains final prioritization ownership.

  • Collaborate for Testable Delivery: Lead collaboration with development and QA teams to ensure requirements are testable, acceptance criteria are verifiable, and UAT and release validation are execution-ready.

  • Monitor Outcomes & Drive Corrective Action: Drive monitoring of feature outcomes, defect trends, and customer feedback, leading corrective actions that improve adoption, quality, and cycle-time performance.

  • Ensure Requirement Artifacts & Governance: Own clear requirement and decision artifacts that reduce rework and support predictable delivery across business and technology teams.

  • Elevate Team Standards: Lead and mentor business analysts, driving team standards, practices, and tools that improve analysis quality and delivery effectiveness.

What We're Looking For

Strong analytical skills are the starting point. What matters beyond that is judgment: knowing how to navigate complex systems, evaluating trade-offs, and translating technical complexities into actionable business decisions.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience), plus a minimum of 5 years of related experience in business analysis, product analysis, or a closely related role with progressively elevated responsibilities.

  • Cross-Functional Initiative Leadership: Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives that span multiple systems, teams, or business domains.

  • Agile Delivery & Backlog Tooling: Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery practices and backlog tooling (e.g., Jira, SharePoint), with a demonstrated ability to lead requirements through the full delivery lifecycle.

  • End-to-End Requirements Governance: Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end requirements governance for complex initiatives, including traceability, change control, and decision logging.

  • Impact, Risk & Dependency Analysis: Strong capability in cross-functional impact, risk, and dependency analysis, including facilitation of scope and sequencing tradeoffs.

  • SQL, System Logs & Observability: Strong working proficiency with SQL for data validation, plus the ability to interpret application, system, and integration logs and use observability tools (e.g., Datadog) to support root-cause analysis and corrective action.

  • Test Strategy & Acceptance Frameworks: Ability to define test strategy inputs and acceptance frameworks for initiative-level UAT and release validation, using quality and outcome trends to improve adoption, quality, and cycle-time performance.

  • Mentorship & Practice Leadership: Demonstrated mentoring and coaching of analysts to strengthen team practices, improve analysis quality, and support consistent delivery outcomes.

  • A working relationship with AI that shows up in how you work, not just in the tools you've tried.

Bonus points for:

  • Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Analysis shapes product strategy. You'll be in the conversation early, working alongside business, product, and architecture teams to define business problems and outcomes rather than just taking orders.

  • Real impact. You'll drive key business initiatives and enterprise systems that make a measurable difference.

  • Remote-first, office friendly. Work from wherever you're most productive. We prioritize async collaboration, respect your time zone across LATAM, and focus on outcomes over hours.

  • An outstanding team. Talented, kind, hard-working people who care about their craft and about each other. No egos. No politics.

  • Growth. You'll be supported in growing your craft, exploring new paths, and stepping into greater responsibility, at your own pace.

  • A culture of excellence. We care about doing the right thing for our clients, our team, and ourselves. No burnout. No crunch. Just high-quality work, delivered sustainably.

  • Variety and stability. We're profitable, independent, and over two decades strong. Yet every project brings a fresh challenge. You'll never be bored here.

This Role Might Not Be for You

We want to respect your time by being clear about what this role isn't. You should skip this opportunity if:

  • You prefer high-level business writing without technical depth. This role requires getting into data validation, SQL queries, system logs, data lineage, and integration structures.

  • You prefer well-defined structure. If you gravitate toward a clear hierarchy, strict top-down mandates, and rigid swim lanes, you may find our self-managed style challenging.

  • Distributed work isn't your thing. If you find async communication, self-documentation, and being proactive without a manager nearby difficult, our setup won't suit you.

  • Feedback doesn't excite you. We're obsessed with quality and believe in continuous improvement. That means feedback that's sometimes nitpicky. If refining work until it's excellent feels over the top, you'll find this frustrating.

  • Change makes you uncomfortable. We're scaling and maturing. Priorities shift. Processes evolve. If ambiguity is uncomfortable, this may feel bumpy.

However, if this sounds like fuel, we'd love to talk.
