Selected professionals will analyse restaurant point-of-sale workflows, evaluate operational scenarios, develop practical documentation, and provide expert feedback on Toast POS functionality. The work combines firsthand hospitality experience with restaurant technology, transaction processing, operational troubleshooting, and structured technical evaluation to improve how advanced AI systems understand and respond to real-world restaurant operations. Key Responsibilities
Toast POS Workflow & Restaurant Operations Evaluation
- Analyse Toast POS workflows used in daily restaurant operations.
- Evaluate order entry, transaction processing, payment management, and reporting functions.
- Review operational scenarios involving front-of-house activities and restaurant service workflows.
- Identify common workflow challenges and opportunities to improve POS usability and efficiency.
- Apply practical hospitality experience to assess the accuracy and relevance of AI-generated POS guidance.
Order Management & Payment Processing
- Review restaurant order management processes, including order modifications and transaction handling.
- Evaluate POS workflows involving payments, receipts, and transaction completion.
- Analyse how Toast POS supports restaurant service operations and order processing.
- Assess system interactions involving menus, orders, and payment-related activities.
- Identify operational inconsistencies and recommend practical improvements to POS workflows.
Restaurant Technology Documentation & Scenario Development
- Develop realistic restaurant scenarios demonstrating common Toast POS functions and operational requirements.
- Create step-by-step guides explaining relevant POS processes and restaurant workflows.
- Document practical approaches to configuring, implementing, and optimising Toast POS.
- Prepare clear explanations of common system functions and troubleshooting procedures.
- Adapt documentation to reflect different restaurant operating models and service environments.
AI Training & POS Data Evaluation
- Evaluate restaurant POS scenarios, transaction examples, menus, and order workflows used in AI training.
- Annotate relevant operational information to support accurate AI understanding of restaurant processes.
- Review AI-generated explanations of Toast POS features and identify inaccurate or incomplete guidance.
- Develop practical feedback on system behaviour, workflow interpretation, and transaction handling.
- Collaborate on the refinement of prompts, tasks, and datasets involving restaurant technology and order management.
Operational Troubleshooting & Quality Assurance
- Review Toast POS functionalities to identify common operational challenges and user experience issues.
- Evaluate troubleshooting approaches for restaurant technology and transaction workflows.
- Recommend practical best practices for improving POS configuration and operational efficiency.
- Communicate technical and operational concepts clearly to hospitality and technology stakeholders.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, documentation quality, and practical relevance across assigned deliverables.
Ideal Profile
- Professional experience in hospitality, restaurant operations, or a closely related food service environment.
- Practical hands-on experience using Toast POS in restaurant operations.
- Current employment in a hospitality role involving daily Toast POS usage is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of restaurant point-of-sale systems and their operational applications.
- Experience with restaurant order entry, order modifications, and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with payment management procedures and common POS transaction workflows.
- Understanding of how point-of-sale technology supports front-of-house restaurant operations.
- Experience identifying and resolving common Toast POS workflow or functionality issues.
