NEWBORN CARE SPECIALIST NEEDED FOR OVERNIGHTS IN MARCH 2027 - TARZANA, CA

Overview:

Newborn Care Specialist - Overnights | Tarzana, CA (LOCAL CANDDIATES ONLY) 

First-time parents in Tarzana are seeking a highly certified and experienced Overnight Newborn Care Specialist to support them following the arrival of their first baby, due March 9, 2027. This is a wonderful opportunity for a seasoned NCS who thrives working with first-time parents and is passionate about newborn education, sleep shaping, and overnight care.

The NCS will work approximately 4 nights per week, Sunday through Thursday, for roughly 12 weeks beginning in early March. The family is asking their NCS to be on call beginning mid-February to accommodate any shift in the due date. There is a planned overlap with a full-time nanny beginning in April as the family transitions out of the newborn stage.

Both parents work from home and are first-time parents who will benefit from a specialist who is communicative, patient, and confident in guiding a new family through those early weeks. Experience with surrogacy situations is a plus. The NCS will have space and the ability to sleep when the baby sleeps. 

Schedule: Overnight, 4 nights per week (Sunday through Thursday) 10 - 12 hours, family can be flexible with start/finish times

Start Date: On call mid-February, active care beginning approximately March 2027

Duration: Approximately 12 weeks

Compensation: $45+ per hour,r commensurate with experience and certifications

Qualifications:

• BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
• UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
• THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
• A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
• 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
• EXCELLENT WORK AND PERSONAL REFERENCES

• U.S. DRIVER’S LICENSE (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO NYC RESIDENTS)
