We are currently seeking a Business Analyst - Data Governance & MDM to join our team in Jersey City, New Jersey (US-NJ), United States (US).
Job Description:
"Business Analyst - Data Governance & Master Data Management
o Gathers and documents business and data requirements with business users, data owners, and technical teams
o Maps source-to-target data flows, defines data and transformation rules, and documents data definitions
o Profiles data to find missing, duplicate, and inconsistent records, and works with data owners on root cause and fixes
o Defines and tracks data quality checks and reconciliations between source and target systems
o Supports master and reference data standards, including matching, de-duplication, and standardization rules
o Writes SQL to analyze data, validate results, and investigate data issues
o Prepares and runs SIT/UAT test cases and documents results, change requests, and procedures
o Works with business, data engineering, QA, and production support teams across the delivery lifecycle
Mandatory Skills:
Business / data analysis in financial services - 8+ years
SQL (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server) - 8+ years
Data profiling, data quality, and source-to-target mapping - 5+ years
Desired Skills:
Data governance and master data management practices
ETL tools (IBM DataStage, Informatica)
Python and UNIX scripting
Jira, Visio, Agile/Scrum"
