Business Analytics & Process Improvement Graduate Summer Intern

Position Purpose:

The Business Analytics & Process Improvement Intern will support the Vendor IT Governance team by helping analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and provide data-driven insights that enhance operational performance. This role will work closely with project managers, identity and access management teams, business stakeholders, and vendor partners to support reporting, process optimization, governance activities, and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities: include collecting and analyzing operational data, developing dashboards and reports, documenting business processes, identifying trends and root causes, supporting continuous improvement projects, and assisting with project management and governance activities. The intern will gain hands-on experience with business analytics, artificial intelligence, process improvement methodologies, executive reporting, Power BI, Microsoft 365 tools, and cross-functional project delivery. Learn about various processes and functions within the Managed Care industry and develop professionally by contributing to projects that support the business.

• Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects

• Communicate project status and results to staff mentors and management

• Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within functional area and industry

• Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Complies with all policies and standards

The salary range is: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate coursework completed. Must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university or college in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period. Pursuing Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
