Job description

Introduction:

Our goal at Pivotree is to help accelerate the future of frictionless commerce. We will help lead this change over the next decade because we believe a future where technology is embedded intimately into all aspects of our everyday lives can benefit everyone and will shape the interactions with the brands we love. We will help shape the future of frictionless commerce by working together with some of the best brands in the world and some of the best people in the industry to leverage converging technologies that will make it possible to accelerate frictionless commerce faster than ever.

Pivotree provides services focused on the design, implementation, management, and maintenance of complex ecommerce solutions for large enterprises. We provide the technical skills necessary to enable the effective use of technologies combined with the business context to leverage a solution to solve our clients' business challenges. We strive to fill the gaps in available technology with our own IP to reduce the barriers to adoption.

We enable inclusive, immersive and highly personalized experiences for our clients and their customers. We build our products with a view to productizing and scaling technology to lower the costs and reduce the risks of implementing and managing our integrated solutions. Each of our solutions starts with reliable and reputable e-commerce and MDM platforms, which run on enterprise grade infrastructure that are customized to meet a variety of client needs, situations, and budgets.  Over the next 10 years we will add new categories and capabilities that will define frictionless commerce ecosystems.

This is a journey of technology acceleration combined with consumer readiness and adoption. We are looking for people capable of adapting relentlessly to the rapidly evolving world around us.

Position Summary
As a market leader in product data content solutions, Pivotree helps clients assess, implement, and
run best-of-breed applications for Master Data Management (MDM) and Product Information
Management (PIM). We are looking for an IICS Developer who will design, build, and support
integration pipelines that collect, transform, and manage product and enterprise data across cloud
applications, databases, and data platforms. This role uses AI tools as part of day-to-day
engineering work, under clear standards for quality, data handling, and review.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Intelligent Cloud
Services (IICS) solutions that deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise data
integration.
• Develop and optimize mappings, workflows, reusable transformations, expressions, stored
procedures, and ETL pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data into data
warehouses, data lakes, and operational systems.
• Build and support complex integration patterns, including incremental and delta loads, Slowly
Changing Dimensions (SCD Types 1 and 2), star schema loads, and large-scale batch and
near-real-time processing.
• Build and maintain REST and web service integrations, service connectors, business services,
and IICS Application Integration (CAI) processes and process objects for real-time integration
with Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, Workday, and other on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Install and configure add-on connectors and drivers for IICS; build file-watching and file-
transfer scripts (SFTP and similar) for scheduled and event-driven data exchange.
• Optimize SQL performance, database connectivity, task scheduling, and cloud-native
deployments on Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, and Google BigQuery, using AI-generated
performance recommendations only after validating them against execution plans and load metrics.
• Implement data quality checks, governance controls, metadata management, lineage, and
impact analysis to keep enterprise data accurate, compliant, and trusted.
• Troubleshoot ETL, integration, and pipeline issues, using AI-assisted root cause analysis to
isolate performance bottlenecks, transformation errors, and data quality anomalies. Validate
every AI-suggested fix against logs, sample data, and execution plans before it reaches
production.
• Use approved AI tools across the development lifecycle to draft and review mapping logic,
SQL, test data, and technical documentation, and to summarize job logs. Follow Pivotree's AI
usage policy at all times, including rules on client and customer data, and record where AI
contributed to each change.
• Contribute to AI-enabled data enrichment use cases, such as attribute extraction,
categorization, and content normalization for PIM, as the project roadmap requires.
• Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to design
integration architectures, document reusable patterns and guidelines for enterprise
applications, and continuously improve data management processes.
• Communicate project status clearly to management and stakeholders.

Technical Skills
• IICS Cloud Data Integration (CDI) and Cloud Application Integration (CAI), 3+ years hands-on:
mappings, mapping tasks, task flows, schedules, parameter files, transformations (Expression,
Router, Filter, Lookup, Update Strategy, Union, Aggregator, Joiner, Sorter), CAI processes,
service connectors, and process objects.
• Informatica PowerCenter, 5+ years hands-on: mappings, workflows, reusable transformations,
stored procedures, and session tuning.
• Advanced SQL on Oracle and SQL Server: complex joins, analytic functions, query tuning, and
DDL generation; plus Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or Google BigQuery loading and
performance tuning (preferred).
• REST APIs and web services with JSON and XML payloads, including authentication, error
handling, and integrations with Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, or Workday.
• Data warehousing and modeling: star schemas, SCD Types 1 and 2, incremental loads,
conceptual, logical, and physical data models, and data quality and lineage tooling.
• File processing and scripting: flat files (CSV, delimited, XML), file-watching and SFTP transfer
scripts, Unix/Linux shell or DOS scripting, Python for validation and API work (preferred), and
installing IICS add-on connectors and drivers.
• Version control and deployment: Git, IICS asset management, and promotion across
development, test, and production environments.
• AI-assisted development: working fluency with an approved AI assistant for SQL, mapping
logic, scripts, and documentation; verifying AI output against sample data and execution plans;
keeping client data out of unapproved tools; and building or supporting LLM-based pipeline
steps such as enrichment or classification with evaluation and cost monitoring (preferred).

Key Competencies
• Ability to learn new technology quickly and adapt to changes in tooling and platforms.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a systematic approach to root cause analysis.
• Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Commitment to documentation, reusable design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Ownership of quality: willingness to challenge assumptions, including AI-generated ones,
before they reach production.
