Job description

Provider Success Lead, Physical Therapy
Work Structure: Fully Remote
Reports To: Head of Clinical
License Requirements: Active PT license

About BreatheSuite

BreatheSuite delivers virtual pulmonary rehabilitation to patients with chronic lung conditions, including COPD and ILD. Our multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, respiratory therapists, and nurse practitioners provides care through telehealth and a remote therapeutic monitoring platform built for this population.

The Role

This role exists to make our physical therapists successful: prepared for their first session and clinically supported through every stage after it. You’ll bring cardiopulmonary expertise to the PT team by mentoring therapists on patient care, leading the clinical content in BreatheSuite University, and guiding new PTs through onboarding.

A core goal is building a system that scales. As we grow, each new PT should need less hands-on support to get started and to find answers. You’ll do that by turning the questions PTs ask, and the clinical gaps you see, into training and resources they can use on their own. When hiring is active, more of your time goes to guiding new PTs to their first patient. When it slows down, the focus shifts to strengthening clinical content, resources, and process.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical mentorship: Mentor PTs on patient care with medically complex pulmonary patients. Consult on complex cases, guide clinical decision-making around symptom response, oxygen needs, and progression, and give feedback that builds clinical confidence across the team. Escalate to the Head of Clinical when needed.
  • BreatheSuite University: Own the onboarding and education content. Research current evidence and best practice for each topic, then build effective modules by recording video and audio, using AI tools, or drawing on other resources as the content requires. Keep modules clinically relevant and evidence-based, and update them as software and platform changes roll out so new PTs always train on the current version. Administer the platform, including assigning modules, tracking completion, and making sure required compliance training is current for every provider.
  • Onboarding oversight: Once a new PT is hired, guide them through onboarding to their first patient. Coordinate with credentialing, product/engineering, and operations to make sure every requirement is complete, including licensure and credentialing steps, platform access, and BreatheSuite University modules, and follow up on anything left outstanding.
  • First-patient readiness: Hold one-on-one sessions with new PTs before their first visit. Confirm they’re prepared, answer questions, and close any gaps in workflow or platform knowledge.
  • Provider support: Act as a first point of contact for new and established PTs through scheduled one-on-ones and the provider support Slack channel, which you’ll co-manage. Answer workflow, platform, documentation, and clinical questions, and escalate to the Head of Clinical when needed. Treat recurring questions as a sign that a resource is missing, and build that resource so the question doesn’t need a direct answer next time.
  • Provider capacity planning: Assess provider availability against patient demand and recommend to the Head of Clinical when to increase hiring so capacity is in place before it becomes a bottleneck.
  • Self-service resources and scalability: Build and maintain searchable resources that let PTs find answers on their own, working with the development team on how those resources are organized and accessed. Track which questions come up most and how long it takes a new PT to reach their first patient, and use that information to reduce the support time each new PT needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Active PT license
  • Demonstrated cardiopulmonary expertise, such as ABPTS Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Clinical Specialist (CCS) certification, pulmonary or cardiac rehab experience, or significant acute care or ICU experience with cardiopulmonary patients
  • 5+ years of clinical experience
  • Experience mentoring or teaching clinicians
  • Experience developing clinical education content
  • Comfortable creating educational content, including recording video and audio, using AI and content-creation tools, and turning clinical research into practical training
  • Comfortable with EMRs, telehealth platforms, and learning new software quickly
  • Clear written communicator who is organized, follows through, and can manage multiple priorities at once
  • Systems-minded, with a habit of fixing the process behind a problem rather than solving the same problem repeatedly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching experience in a DPT program
  • Telehealth experience

The salary range for this position is $75,000–$125,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
