Pharmacy Technician

Work Mode: Fully Remote
Duration: 6 months, possible contract-to-hire
SHIFT: Schedule during training period (12-24 weeks): Monday-Friday: 10am – 6:30pm EST. Schedule after training period: Tuesday-Friday 12:30pm - 9pm EST, Saturday 8am – 4:30pm EST. Overtime is not expected.

Responsibilities:

• Train on Intake and Technician Review processes.
• Enter information from prior authorization request forms into a Compass case.
• Verify intake accuracy and compare with clinical documentation.
• Determine approval eligibility based on provided information.
• Contact offices for missing information if necessary.
• Route denials to the pharmacist queue for double-checking.
• Remediate cases if determinations need overturning or errors correcting.
• Communicate decisions to providers and/or members via call or fax.
• Maintain strong team connectivity and support via Teams and Outlook.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Strong computer skills.
• Flexibility with changes.
• Ability to meet production metrics.

Preferred Skills:

• Customer Service/retail experience.
• Valid Pharmacy Technician License.
