The Role

Howden is seeking an experienced Producer to join our growing team in Denver, Colorado. The Producer will be responsible for developing and growing a portfolio of clients, identifying new business opportunities, and building long-term relationships with prospects and clients.

This role is well suited to an entrepreneurial insurance professional who combines strong industry knowledge with a demonstrated ability to develop relationships, generate new business, and deliver solutions tailored to clients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients
• Develop relationships with key decision-makers and centers of influence
• Understand prospective and existing clients’ businesses, exposures, and insurance or employee benefits needs
• Partner with account management, broking, and other internal colleagues to develop and deliver appropriate solutions for clients
• Lead prospect meetings, presentations, and new business discussions
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted advisor on their insurance and risk management needs
• Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through additional products, services, and capabilities
• Maintain an active understanding of market conditions, industry trends, and competitive developments
• Accurately maintain prospect and client activity within applicable systems
• Collaborate across Howden’s broader U.S. and global network to bring relevant expertise and capabilities to clients
• Represent Howden at industry events, conferences, and other business development opportunities
• Conduct business in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and Howden policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in insurance brokerage, business development, production, or a related client-facing role
• Strong track record of developing relationships and generating new business
• Knowledge of commercial insurance and/or employee benefits products and markets
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Ability to identify client needs and develop solutions in partnership with internal specialists
• Self-motivated and comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prospects and client relationships
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, business units, and geographies
• Appropriate insurance licenses required or the ability to obtain necessary licenses

Compensation and Benefits

The expected base salary range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 depending on experience and location.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is eligible to participate in a commission-based incentive program. Howden also offers a variety of benefits and programs, subject to eligibility, including:
