Job description

Atticus Health – Consultant Geriatrician (Telehealth)

Victoria & Queensland | Telehealth / Remote | Contractor | Part-Time or Full-Time

Atticus Health is seeking a Consultant Geriatrician to join our growing aged care team, delivering specialist geriatric care to both residential aged care facilities and home care clients across metropolitan and regional Victoria and Queensland.

This role is suited to a Consultant Geriatrician (or Advanced Trainee nearing completion) who is passionate about improving the lives of older Australians and enjoys working across diverse care settings, including in-home care. Flexible telehealth options are available, allowing you to work remotely while supporting patients and care teams on the ground.

If you are looking to work with an organisation that leads with heart and is reshaping how aged care is delivered in Australia, we would love to hear from you.

Why join Atticus Health?

At Atticus Health, we believe great healthcare begins with great humanity. Founded by doctors, our organisation is committed to delivering care that is personal, proactive, and deeply respectful of the people we serve.

Our dedication to innovation and excellence in aged care has been recognised nationally:

  • 2025 HESTA Excellence Awards Finalist – Aged Care
  • 2024 Telstra Best of Business Awards Finalist – Championing Health

We are actively integrating health and home care services to create a better ageing experience for older people on the Mornington Peninsula and beyond. As part of our team, you will help shape the future of geriatric and aged care services in Australia.

About the Consultant Geriatrician role

In this role, you will:

  • Provide specialist geriatric assessments, care planning and reviews via telehealth to residents in aged care facilities and older people receiving care in their own homes
  • Collaborate closely with our experienced GPs, nurses, allied health and care teams
  • Participate in case conferencing and multidisciplinary care planning remotely
  • Contribute to evolving, integrated models of aged and geriatric care

This position is ideal for clinicians who value flexibility, continuity of care, and the opportunity to support older people across different care settings.

What we offer

  • Fully remote, flexible working arrangements
  • Part-time or full-time contractor opportunities
  • Strong and consistent referral stream from our established GP network
  • Administrative and coordination support to minimise non-clinical workload
  • Established telehealth infrastructure and systems
  • Opportunities to contribute to innovative models of aged and geriatric care

About you

We are seeking a Geriatrician (or Advanced Trainee nearing completion) who values connection, compassion and high‑quality care. You bring:

  • A caring, patient‑centred approach to older people and their families
  • Flexibility, adaptability and strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and clinical documentation
  • Confidence using digital health systems and telehealth where appropriate
