About the Role:

As a Senior Manager of Media Relations, you will help shape and amplify narratives around CrowdStrike’s products, business, and executives, driving high-impact earned media coverage that advances the company’s objectives and market position. This role reports to the Senior Director of Public Relations and Media Strategy. It requires a results-driven cybersecurity media relations specialist with deep industry knowledge, established relationships with top-tier media, and a proven ability to proactively develop and place compelling stories that resonate with customers, investors, and the broader market.

You’ll work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to identify newsworthy opportunities, develop differentiated narratives, and build relationships with influential reporters across cybersecurity, technology, business, and financial media. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team trusted by executive leadership to play a key role in the company’s continued growth and market leadership.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute proactive media relations strategies that drive high-impact earned coverage aligned with CrowdStrike’s business objectives.
  • Build, maintain, and leverage strong relationships with top-tier cybersecurity, technology, business, and financial media to secure meaningful coverage.
  • Proactively identify, develop, and pitch compelling stories that advance CrowdStrike’s market leadership, competitive differentiation, and executive visibility.
  • Drive executive media engagement, including high-profile interviews, feature stories, and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Translate complex cybersecurity trends and company innovations into timely, newsworthy narratives that resonate with reporters and their audiences.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to develop media strategies, messaging, and briefing materials.
  • Monitor the cybersecurity media landscape, industry trends, competitor activity, and breaking news to identify proactive and reactive media opportunities.
  • Partner with regional PR teams and agencies to extend media narratives and drive consistent, high-impact results.

What You’ll Need:

  • 10–14+ years of public relations experience, including at least 5 years focused on cybersecurity. Current cybersecurity media relations experience is strongly preferred. Former agency experience is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of the cybersecurity industry, competitive landscape, and key trends shaping the market.
  • An established network of cybersecurity media contacts and strong relationships with influential reporters across technology, business, and financial media.
  • Proven track record of proactively developing, pitching, and securing high-impact earned media coverage, including top-tier feature stories and executive profiles.
  • Strong news judgment and the ability to identify compelling stories, anticipate media interest, and turn complex industry developments into meaningful coverage.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling pitches, executive briefing materials, and media messaging.
  • Fluency with AI tools and being able to apply them to sharpen research, media monitoring, and content development, while preserving the judgment, news sense, and relationships that drive earned coverage.
  • Experience working directly with senior executives and preparing them for high-profile media engagements.
  • A collaborative mindset, with experience working across marketing, communications, and technical teams.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
