ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Enterprise Reporting and Special Projects will serve a key role in managing visibility for the management to the organization’s financial performance and to enhance processes and efficiencies of the organization’s external reporting requirements (SEC, FDIC and Federal Reserve). This position plays a critical role in strengthening our managers’ understanding of how their business unit’s operational performance drives the organization’s overall financial results. The incumbent will collaborate with department heads and with executive leadership, including the Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Financial Officer, on cross-functional special projects.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage the preparation and delivery of internal and external financial reporting, including SEC Forms 10-K and 10-Q, FDIC and Federal Reserve regulatory filings, and monthly board and management reporting.
  • Manage the preparation and delivery of earnings-related materials, including the earnings release, investor presentation support, and the MD&A and financial highlights sections of SEC filings.
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of internal and external financial reporting.
  • Produce variance analyses and commentary that explain drivers of performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Evaluate and document the impact of new accounting guidance and the required disclosures for significant non-routine transactions.
  • Support the interim and year-end external audit function, as well as the ongoing internal audit function.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with management on cross-functional projects such as system implementations, reconciliation processes, and reporting for acquisitions, loan or portfolio purchases, and strategic investments.

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of 10 years’ accounting and reporting experience
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and Call Report and FR Y-9C requirements
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience with bank/financial reporting preferred
  • Ability to understand and derive data relationships
  • Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication, data analysis and presentation skills
