Job description

About Cardamom

The next evolution of healthcare requires flexible, agile teams to deliver high-tech, results-based solutions and support. Our team is here to help our customers tackle the initiatives and challenges on their organizational roadmap, and give clinicians, operational teams, and researchers access to the data they need to take care of their patients and improve health outcomes.

Cardamom is cultivating a multidisciplinary team of exceptional individuals with diverse skills and experiences in healthcare — data, analytics, AI, and EHR application experts. We are also passionate about growing the careers of those who may have little or no experience in these fields when the opportunity arises. Our team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, revenue cycle professionals, and certified application specialists would love for you to join us.

About the role

  • Cardamom is seeking a full-time Epic Prelude Analyst for a 6-month contract engagement with a Midwest healthcare client. This role will support a large-scale enhancement initiative focused on Revenue Cycle Enhancement Requests (RACER) and Order Intake Management (OIM).
  • The Prelude Analyst will join a team responsible for evaluating, designing, building, testing, and implementing enhancements that improve patient access, registration, scheduling, and front-end revenue cycle workflows.
  • This is an opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives while partnering closely with operational stakeholders to drive meaningful workflow improvements across the organization.

What you'll do

  • Support a large backlog of enhancement requests related to patient access, registration, scheduling, and revenue cycle operations.
  • Lead discovery sessions and gather business requirements from operational stakeholders.
  • Analyze current-state workflows and identify opportunities for process and system improvements.
  • Design, build, test, and implement Epic Prelude enhancements and optimizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with organizational goals and existing system functionality.
  • Provide recommendations on Epic best practices and workflow design.
  • Manage enhancements through the full lifecycle, from intake and analysis through deployment and support.
  • Work independently while balancing multiple initiatives and priorities.

Qualifications

  • Epic Prelude certification required.
  • 3+ years of Epic Prelude Analyst experience, including build, optimization, and enhancement work.
  • Strong understanding of patient access, registration, scheduling, and revenue cycle workflows.
  • Experience facilitating requirements gathering, workflow analysis, testing, and end-user support.
  • Ability to work independently and drive initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous experience supporting large enhancement, optimization, or operational improvement initiatives preferred.
