About the Opportunity

The Controller, U.S. & Canada, is a key financial leader responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and effectiveness of accounting and financial reporting across Affinitas Education's North American operations. This role ensures that financial information is reliable, timely, and actionable, supporting informed decisions across a diverse network of schools and business entities.

The Controller will oversee core accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end and year-end close, budgeting support, internal controls, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Working closely with regional leadership, school-level teams, and the broader Affinitas finance organization, the Controller will help establish consistent financial processes and reporting practices across the region.

About You

  • A strong accounting leader — You have a solid technical accounting foundation and take pride in accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting.

  • Detail oriented — You understand that sound financial decisions depend on complete, consistent, and well-organized information.

  • A process improver — You look for ways to simplify workflows, strengthen controls, and make accounting operations more efficient.

  • Analytical and solutions oriented — You investigate variances, identify root causes, and work proactively to resolve issues.

  • A clear communicator — You can explain financial results, accounting requirements, and complex issues in a way that others can understand and act on.

  • Collaborative by nature — You build trusted relationships with regional leadership, school administrators, and finance colleagues across different locations.

  • A hands-on problem solver — You take ownership of challenges and follow them through to resolution.

  • Mission driven — You understand that reliable financial operations help schools focus on what matters most: students, families, and educators.
