Compass Technology is a dedicated internal team for Compass Group delivering enterprise-wide initiatives that support our diverse customer base and enhance our business operations. Our domain encompasses a vast spectrum of opportunities, from hands-on desk support to Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering, AI, and Modern Application development. We are committed to building robust IT infrastructures, driving digital transformation, and much more.

Job Summary

We empower our product teams to solve hard problems in ways that our operators love and that work for our business. We are looking for a Business Analyst to support the food intelligence and menu strategy for MenuWorks, Compass Group’s enterprise menu management and culinary planning platform.
The MenuWorks Business Analyst serves as the primary business analyst for one or more product initiatives, assisting in discovery activities, defining functional solutions, and partnering with Product Managers to deliver valuable customer outcomes.

This role moves beyond documentation to become a trusted advisor who combines customer insights, operational knowledge, and data analysis to recommend product improvements. Business Analysts independently own the analysis and functional definition of medium-sized initiatives, help maintain strong feedback loops throughout delivery, and provide insights that inform Product Manager prioritization and product direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex business processes, identify gaps and root causes, and recommend scalable functional solutions aligned with product strategy.
  • Own requirements and functional design for medium-sized product initiatives.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions.
  • Write high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, functional documentation, and test scenarios.
  • Define business rules, workflows, success metrics, data requirements, and release readiness criteria.
  • Partner with Product Managers by providing process, customer, operational, and data insights that inform backlog prioritization.
  • Perform data analysis to validate assumptions, identify trends, measure product success, and support continuous improvement.
  • Establish and support data stewardship practices, including documenting business data definitions, validating data quality and reporting consistency, and partnering with data owners to resolve gaps or inconsistencies.
  • Plan and facilitate business User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including identifying stakeholder participants, developing test scenarios and documentation, coordinating testing activities, tracking findings, and supporting business sign-off and release readiness.
  • Support roadmap planning through research, competitive analysis, and operational insights that inform Product Manager strategy and prioritization.
  • Support customer demonstrations, training sessions, and product rollout activities.
  • Participate in release, iteration, and other agile-related activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Analysis, or Product Management
  • Strong experience gathering requirements for enterprise software products
  • Excellent analytical, facilitation, and documentation skills
  • Experience working within Agile software development teams
  • Ability to independently manage multiple initiatives

Preferred:

  • Experience with Azure DevOps or Jira
  • Experience supporting B2B SaaS products
  • Experience in food systems/management (e.g., nutrition regulation, supply chain, menu planning, or food service)
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other analytics tools
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Agile training
