Job description

A Wholesale Account Executive with Verus Mortgage Capital plays a pivotal role in building and protecting a book of business within a defined geographic territory. This role is centered on developing deep, face to face relationships with Mortgage Third Party Originators (TPO) in a specific local market, positioning Verus as a lender known for strong local presence and personalized service rather than remote, transactional interactions.

You will serve as the dedicated point of contact for Mortgage TPOs within your assigned territory, generating consistent monthly loan volume through hands-on relationship management and new business development. While your primary focus will be growing and supporting relationships within your local market, we recognize the value of established relationships you may bring from outside your assigned territory. In certain circumstances, previous relationships may be retained, provided those accounts are not currently working with Verus and do not create a conflict with an existing Verus relationship or territory. The goal is to maintain a strong local market focus without overlooking valuable, established relationships that can contribute to the growth of the business.

While the core focus is non-Agency lending, there is also an opportunity to co-sell Agency loan products as the company expands its product suite.

Compensation:   $50,000 base salary ($72,500 for candidates based in California or New York) + Production Incentive (commission-based)
