About Foundant

At Foundant, we build mission-critical software for the social good ecosystem — helping foundations, grantmakers, nonprofits, and community organizations streamline their work, strengthen relationships, and maximize their impact. We serve the giving community worldwide with a comprehensive suite of solutions spanning grant management, community foundation software, and giving analytics.

We're a unified company shaped by strong roots across our product portfolio, and we operate with intention and purpose. Our team of ~350 people across six countries is connected by a shared North Star: to be the trusted partner and strategic advisor to the communities we serve.

Where You’ll Work:

  • As a remote-first workplace, we believe in offering flexibility and the freedom to work where it suits you best, while staying connected through technology. Our global network of talent is supported by physical office hubs and virtual collaboration, fostering a dynamic environment where innovation and growth thrive.
  • With office locations in Bozeman, MT, Toronto, Canada, and Dublin, Ireland, you'll be part of a globally connected team. Whether you're working remotely or from one of our office locations, you'll be contributing to a vibrant, collaborative culture focused on driving meaningful impact across the world.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead our client community strategy, creating ways for clients to connect, learn, share expertise, and build relationships that strengthen their work and the broader sector
  • Bring clients and sector leaders together through flagship events, peer learning, smaller convenings, advisory groups, and digital communities
  • Build and activate our client advocate network, creating opportunities for clients to mentor, share stories, provide references and referrals, advise Foundant, and contribute to product development
  • Connect community across the client experience, bringing together events, education, digital communities, communications, and in-product experiences into a cohesive journey
  • Shape Foundant’s presence in the sector, setting the community strategy and standards for conferences, sponsorships, partnerships, and other industry gatherings
  • Lead client communication planning, aligning cross-functional teams around a coordinated strategy and calendar
  • Measure and strengthen community impact, using client insights and data to guide priorities, investment, and continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need:

  • Significant experience in philanthropy, nonprofits, associations, community building, or the broader social good sector, with a strong understanding of the people and issues shaping the field
  • A track record of building communities, networks, events, or engagement strategies that create measurable value
  • Strong relationship-building and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage practitioners, partners, clients, and senior leaders
  • Strategic thinking paired with the ability to turn ideas into experiences, programs, and results
  • A collaborative leadership style and the ability to influence across teams and organizations
  • Curiosity and strong listening skills, grounded in a belief in the value of people learning from one another
  • Comfort using client insight and data to measure impact and guide decisions

How We'll Measure Success:

  • Community health: reach, engagement, repeat participation, and contribution
  • Client value: connection, learning, experience, and satisfaction
  • Advocacy: client contribution, referrals, recommendations, and participation
  • Business impact: influence on retention, expansion, referrals, and brand affinity

What You’ll Bring to our Team Dynamics:

  • Strategic Thinking: Translates the potential of community into a focused strategy that creates greater connection, learning, and value for clients and the sector
  • Collaboration & Learning: Builds trusted relationships and brings people together across teams, clients, and the sector to learn and create shared value
  • Decision-Making: Combines client insight, sector knowledge, and data to make clear choices about priorities and investment
  • Performance Advancement: Defines meaningful outcomes, measures progress, and strengthens the strategy based on what we learn
  • Change Management: Creates clarity and alignment as the strategy evolves, helping others understand where we’re going and why

Why You’ll Love Working at Foundant:

  • At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to innovation and making a positive impact. Whether you’re working on projects that empower not-for-profits, community foundations, or corporations, your contributions will help drive real-world change.
