Job description

Case IQ is a leading B2B SaaS company in the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) space, helping organizations build safer, more accountable workplaces. We offer a comprehensive suite of solutions that enable organizations to move from reactive approaches to proactive risk management. Our software helps teams across compliance, HR, legal, and investigations report, manage, investigate, and prevent workplace risk - including ethics violations, fraud, harassment, discrimination, security incidents, and third-party issues - so they can better protect their people, culture, and business.

Backed by over 25 years of domain expertise and trusted by Fortune 500 companies, Case IQ has supported the management of millions of cases and helped mitigate billions in financial and reputational risk.

Role Summary

We are looking for a Security Assurance Specialist to support Case IQ’s customer-facing security assurance process under the direction of the Director of Information Security. This remote-first role is a strong fit for an early-career professional who is interested in information security, customer assurance, documentation, and supporting enterprise sales within a growing security program.

In this role, you will help complete customer security questionnaires and due diligence requests, maintain an approved response and evidence library, keep the Trust Center current, and coordinate with Information Security, Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, IT, and Sales. While the role is remote, we are seeking candidates based in the Ottawa area.

AI-Forward Ways of Working

At Case IQ, AI is part of how we build. We look for engineers who can use AI-assisted development and agentic workflows with strong technical judgment: defining clear intent and constraints, validating outputs, protecting customer data, and keeping humans accountable for production decisions. You will help establish practical patterns for responsible AI use across discovery, design, implementation, testing, observability, and operations.

What You'll Do

  • Support customer security questionnaires, RFPs, due diligence requests, and follow-up questions using approved content and guidance
  • Maintain an organized library of approved questionnaire responses, security documentation, and supporting evidence
  • Coordinate with Information Security, Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, IT, and Sales to gather accurate answers and identify the right reviewers
  • Track customer security requests, deadlines, owners, and outstanding items so requests move forward predictably
  • Help maintain the Case IQ Trust Center by keeping published security and compliance information current and flagging gaps for review
  • Prepare clear customer-facing responses and help route requests for documents such as policies, certifications, and privacy materials
  • Learn Case IQ’s products, security practices, and compliance commitments well enough to recognize when a request needs specialist review
  • Help document repeatable Customer Assurance workflows, response standards, and lessons learned

What Success Looks Like

  • 30 Days: Complete onboarding and build familiarity with Case IQ’s products, security documentation, compliance commitments, customer assurance process, key stakeholders, and response standards. Shadow questionnaire and customer-request work, review the response library and Trust Center, and begin drafting straightforward responses for review.
  • 60 Days: Support smaller and standard questionnaires and customer requests under close review, using approved responses and evidence. Keep request tracking current, help organize the response library, and contribute proposed Trust Center or documentation updates.
  • 90 Days: Handle routine requests with regular manager review and confidently route complex or non-standard questions to the appropriate subject-matter expert. Maintain accurate status reporting and identify recurring customer questions, content gaps, or process improvements.
  • 6 Months: Manage well-defined recurring Customer Assurance tasks with guidance, maintain accurate and current customer-facing security information, and contribute to smoother coordination between Sales and internal subject-matter experts.
  • 1 Year: Operate as a reliable Customer Assurance partner for standard requests, keep the response library and Trust Center well organized, and support continuous improvement of the customer security review process while escalating complex matters appropriately.

Who You Are

  • Early-career experience in a customer-facing, SaaS operations, security, privacy, compliance, sales operations, or related role; internships, co-op terms, or equivalent experience are welcome
  • Strong written communication skills and care with detail, including the ability to turn technical input into clear, accurate customer-facing responses
  • Good organizational and project-tracking habits, with the ability to manage several requests and deadlines with guidance
  • Interest in information security, privacy, compliance, or enterprise software, and a willingness to learn Case IQ’s products and security program
  • Comfort working with documents, spreadsheets, knowledge bases, and shared collaboration tools
  • Ability to ask thoughtful questions, identify missing information, and escalate requests that need expert review
  • Collaborative working style and the ability to build constructive relationships with Sales, Legal, Compliance, Security, Product, Engineering, and IT teams
  • Basic understanding of common security and privacy concepts, such as access control, encryption, incident response, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or data protection
  • Exercise the highest level of discretion in the handling and protection of all data and sensitive information

Assets (Nice to Have)

  • Experience assisting with security questionnaires, RFPs, customer due diligence, or Trust Center content
  • Familiarity with security and privacy frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, or PIPEDA
  • Exposure to SaaS sales, customer success, procurement, legal operations, or compliance work

Perks and Benefits

  • Work remotely within a flexible work environment (our team spans 7 countries).
  • Competitive company-paid benefits plan.
  • Generous professional development budget.
  • RRSP/ 401k matching program
  • Half-day Fridays in the summer

Selected candidates will be contacted through BambooHR (please check your junk mail).
