Job description

Hey!

Imagine amateur football finally had the platform it deserves.
Every weekend, millions of people write their own personal football stories – on pitches, in clubs and on the sidelines. We believe this passion deserves a digital home too.
That's exactly what we're building every single day.

tl;dr

We're looking for someone who wants to win over French amateur football with us - you'll help build our Teamwear market in France from scratch, working side by side with the founders.

Main information

  • Start: Immediately
  • Location: France (remote) + phases in Cologne
  • Workload: Internship, 6-12 months
  • Team: Teamwear

Is this a match?

The most important basics – so we both know if it could work.

  • Location: You live in France and work remotely - with regular phases at our office in Cologne (we cover the travel costs).
  • ?Where you're at: You recently finished your studies or are currently still studying - especially great if it's in business or a similar field!
  • Languages: You're a native or fluent French speaker and speak English fluently - German is a plus, but not a must.
  • You know football: French amateur football isn't new to you - you've played, coached or been active in a club, or you're a fan with a real feel for what happens on and off the pitch.
  • Startup spirit: You'd rather shape things than just tick boxes - even when that means figuring stuff out without a finished roadmap.

What you'll do - your playing field

This is how you move our mission forward every day.

  • You map French amateur football. Leagues, regions, clubs, decision makers and retailers - you find out what makes the market tick.
  • You open doors on the ground. You talk to clubs, retailers and partners and test right away how our offer lands.
  • You turn learnings into clear recommendations. You boil down what you find into insights and recommendations for the founders.
  • You get the first pilots onto the pitch. Together with French clubs, you drive our first projects hands-on.
  • You write our France playbook. You capture everything that works - so we can build on it.
In addition to your core responsibilities, you will also:
  • Localise offers, decks and materials into French
  • Take on ad-hoc research and analyses for the founders
  • Represent Prematch at local football events

What you bring to the team

We're not looking for a perfect CV. But you should recognise yourself in these points.

  • Drive: You get things moving without being asked - and see them through.
  • Own projects: You've built or pushed something on your own before - a club project, an initiative or a side business.
  • Business mindset: Your studies or first jobs have given you a good feel for business.
  • Self-organisation: You love working independently and keep the overview, even remotely.
  • Tools: Google Sheets / Excel, Google Slides / PowerPoint, Notion or similar, AI tools for research and daily work
Good to know
We want you to know what this role really looks like from day one.
  • This isn't a classic internship with set tasks - you'll help build a market from scratch and work largely on your own in France. If that kind of freedom excites you, you're in the right place.
  • Your team is based in Cologne: you work together remotely and meet up on site regularly. That takes a good dose of self-organisation.

Bonus

Not a must – but this'll definitely earn you extra points.

  • Your own network in French football (clubs, leagues, retailers)
  • Interest in sporting goods or teamwear

The Prematch Setup

We want you to love joining us - and still love being part of the team a long time from now.

  • Paid internship - At Prematch, you're not just gaining experience - you're getting paid fairly for it.
  • Modern tech setup - We provide the tools and devices you need to be productive.
  • AI-powered work - We use AI tools to work smarter and more efficiently, and provide you with the tools you need to make the most of AI in your day-to-day work.
  • 27 vacation days per year - For your rest and to recharge. Plus special arrangements if you’re a parent, so you can better balance family and relaxation.
  • Remote work - You work remotely from France and join us in Cologne for regular on-site phases - we cover the travel costs.
  • Three cool offices in Cologne, Berlin, and London - true startup vibes to work and grow together. Want to visit another office? We support that too!
  • Remote, even from afar - Whether it’s a week of sunshine abroad or a few days with family - we allow flexible work from outside your usual location.
  • Team events at our locations - Whether after work in Cologne, Berlin, or London: we regularly bring teams together to connect and grow stronger.
  • Offsites with the whole team - Four days out of the daily grind with the entire team: trips, brainstorming, onsite collaboration, and real team spirit.

Still here? Sounds like a pretty good match.

If you've made it this far, we hope we've managed to show you one thing: how we work, what we believe in and why this role at PREMATCH is something special.
Maybe this is exactly the moment you've been waiting for: a team that thinks big, a vision that actually moves things and the chance to help reshape amateur football digitally – together with us.
