This role requires practical experience with enterprise SaaS software contracts and the ability to manage negotiations with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions. A key requirement is demonstrated experience supporting or leading commercial contract negotiations in both the Asia-Pacific (APAC) and North American (NAM) markets.

The Contract Administrator works closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, Security, Customer Success and executive leadership to identify commercial risk, resolve contract issues, maintain accurate records and support timely execution of business-critical agreements.

  • Lead or support contract negotiations involving customers and business partners in APAC and North America, balancing commercial objectives, customer requirements, risk controls and approved company positions.
  • Review proposed contractual terms and variations for commercial, operational, financial, privacy, security, insurance, liability, intellectual property, data protection, payment and termination issues.
  • Develop practical negotiation positions, fallback language, contract playbooks and approval recommendations for recurring and non-standard terms.
  • Coordinate the contract approval and signature process, ensuring the correct stakeholders review and approve agreements before execution.
  • Respond to contract-related enquiries and resolve issues by working with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, Security, Customer Success, Procurement and executive stakeholders.
  • Maintain complete and accurate contract records, metadata, obligations, approvals, renewal dates, amendments and supporting documentation in the company’s contract and business systems.
  • Monitor contract milestones, renewals, extensions, expirations and termination requirements, and coordinate timely follow-up with responsible stakeholders.
  • Prepare contract summaries, reports, risk analyses and management submissions concerning commercial activity, contract performance and matters requiring attention.
  • Support customer security, privacy, procurement and vendor due-diligence reviews, including information-security questionnaires and cross-border data-transfer requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve contract administration workflows, reporting, approval processes and negotiation turnaround times.
  • Support compliance activities by maintaining appropriate evidence, documentation and process records for internal and external reviews.
  • Provide clear, commercially practical guidance to stakeholders while escalating material legal, financial or operational risks through the appropriate approval channels.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in commercial contract administration, contract management, procurement contracting, or a closely related role.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating and administering enterprise SaaS software contracts in a technology or software organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting customer and vendor contract negotiations across both APAC and North America (NAM).
  • Experience with the full commercial contract lifecycle, including drafting or reviewing terms, redlining, approvals, execution, renewals, amendments, extensions and close-out.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, Security, Customer Success and executive leadership.
  • Strong understanding of commercial risk, contract governance, approval controls and the practical application of company policies.
  • Experience reviewing privacy, data protection, security, procurement, insurance, liability and payment provisions in technology contracts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain contract issues and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple negotiations, deadlines and contract records at the same time.
  • Ability to exercise sound commercial judgement, resolve issues constructively and escalate matters appropriately.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, law, international relations, economics or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
