Position Title: Junior Accountant
Work Set-up: Permanent Work From Home
Employment Type: Full Time
Schedule: Monday- Friday (Rest Day: Saturday-Sunday)
Shift: UAE Time: 9:00 AM- 6:00 PM | 1:00 PM- 10:00 PM PHT
Salary Package: Php 55,000- 70,000


JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant with at least 3–4 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience to support the day-to-day finance operations of the business. The ideal candidate will be an expert Xero user, comfortable working independently across transactional accounting activities, and confident identifying opportunities to improve and automate finance processes. Experience with Commpay would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities as a Junior Accountant

• Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently in Xero.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and set up payments for approval.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
• Support the month-end close process as required.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journals where required.
• Maintain supporting documentation for financial transactions and reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate recurring finance processes.
• Support improvements to existing Xero workflows and accounting procedures.
• Assist the wider finance team with ad hoc accounting and reporting requirements.



Qualifications as a Junior Accountant:

• Minimum 3–4 years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar finance role.
• Expert-level Xero experience is essential.
• Strong experience with invoice processing and bank reconciliations.
• Experience preparing or setting up supplier payments.
• Working knowledge of journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable working independently and managing recurring deadlines.
• Good problem-solving and process-improvement mindset.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills.

Desirable
• Previous experience using Commpay.
• Experience improving or automating finance and accounting workflows.
• Experience supporting an international or financial services business.
