Job description

Account Executive
Remote | Canada or US

Overview

Labbit is a modern Laboratory Information Management (LIMS), informatics, and workflow execution platform built for regulated laboratories with complex, evolving processes across molecular diagnostics, biologics, cell and gene therapy, pharma, and more. We’re looking for an Account Executive to join our growing sales team to help organizations move beyond the limitations of legacy LIMS and adopt a more flexible approach to laboratory operations. This is a full-cycle enterprise sales role for a consultative seller who can navigate complex buying environments and engage stakeholders across the lab, IT, quality, manufacturing, and executive teams.

What you'll do

As an Account Executive, you’ll own the full enterprise sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through negotiation, close, and handoff. You’ll build and manage a pipeline of approximately 10–15 active opportunities, develop strategies for complex multi-month sales cycles, and lead consultative conversations with laboratory, scientific, quality control, IT, QA/RA, business, engineering, manufacturing, and executive stakeholders. You’ll conduct discovery, lead presentations and demonstrations, develop proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and build trusted relationships with decision-makers and champions throughout the buying process.

You’ll work closely with Marketing, Solutions, Product, and Customer Success to execute outbound prospecting campaigns, generate opportunities, deliver a coordinated customer experience, and expand Labbit’s presence within target accounts and markets. You’ll maintain accurate CRM and forecasting data, stay current on trends and the competitive landscape across laboratory informatics and life sciences, and represent Labbit at industry events and customer meetings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated success selling complex, technical solutions with typical deal sizes of 100K–1M+ and sales cycles anywhere from 3-18 months.
  • Experience driving net-new customer acquisition and revenue, managing approximately 10–15 active opportunities through the full sales cycle.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales, engaging effectively with technical, scientific, business, and executive decision-makers.
  • Experience and demonstrated effectiveness with business development and lead generation activities, and a willingness to execute these activities directly
  • Experience selling into life sciences, particularly pharma, biologics, biotech, clinical diagnostics, quality control, manufacturing, cell and gene therapy, or related laboratory environments.
  • Domain expertise in QC LIMS and/or Lab Software Solutions in the above industries
  • Strong consultative selling skills, including the ability to conduct discovery, understand complex laboratory workflows and business challenges, and translate customer needs into compelling business outcomes.
  • Experience developing pricing proposals, negotiating commercial and contract terms, and successfully driving opportunities through to close.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS and subscription-based revenue models, including ARR, MRR, renewals, and pipeline forecasting, with experience using CRM tools such as HubSpot.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and operate effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, combined with a highly motivated, competitive, collaborative mindset and a genuine desire to learn, be coached, and continuously develop as an enterprise software sales professional.

You’ll stand out if you have:

  • Deep experience with LIMS, laboratory informatics, or adjacent laboratory software.
  • Knowledge of laboratory compliance and regulatory requirements such as CLIA, CAP, GMP, 21 CFR Part 11 & 820, ISO/IEC 17025, etc.
  • Experience engaging with lab directors, quality stakeholders, executive IT leaders, other laboratory representatives, manufacturing leaders, or operations executives.
  • Familiarity with the informatics needs of genomic, proteomic, molecular diagnostics, cell and gene therapy, biologics, and pharma organizations.
  • Experience translating complex scientific and data-management challenges into clear business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of the competitive landscape across LIMS, laboratory informatics, and related life sciences software.
  • Experience selling to CROs, biotech, pharma, QC manufacturing, or other highly regulated laboratory environments.
  • Experience developing relationships with industry partners to identify target segments and create new pipeline opportunities.

To further support our team, we offer the following benefits:

  • Competitive vacation
  • Flexible health spending account / Health Insurance
  • RRSP / 401 K matching
  • Annual professional development budget
  • The expected salary range for this role is: $125,000 - $162,00 base salary with a competitive variable compensation plan.
Actual compensation may vary based on experience, domain expertise, and geographic location.
