Position: Sonic Audit Specialist - Portuguese
Type: Contract
Compensation: $25/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AI training data in Brazilian Portuguese for accuracy and relevance.
  • Review multilingual transcription audits by comparing recordings with transcriptions. Apply error codes and provide clear rationales.
  • Conduct forced alignment audits by verifying and correcting timestamps and transcriptions at the word level.
  • Ensure judgments are consistent and well-documented, focusing on careful listening rather than volume.
  • Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Native or near-native command of Portuguese as spoken in Brazil.
  • Strong English reading and writing skills.
  • Disciplined rubric application across judgments.
  • Careful listening skills to distinguish similar sounds.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in AI data annotation, model evaluation, or audio editing.
  • Background in phonetics or linguistics.
