Job description

Description

The Senior Energy Procurement Specialist supports Environ's channel partners and their commercial clients through the full lifecycle of electricity and natural gas transactions in deregulated markets — pricing and bid preparation, contracting, enrollment, and renewal. You'll manage your own portfolio of partners, serve as their day-to-day operational contact, and keep deals moving accurately and on schedule across suppliers, utilities, and internal teams.

This is a senior role on the Agent team. Beyond your own portfolio, you'll help newer team members get up to speed, improve how the team works, and play a hands-on part in our migration to a new deal-management platform. Environ is growing quickly, and this role is a good fit for someone who wants a real hand in how a channel-partner operation is built — not just a seat in it.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary operational contact for an assigned portfolio of channel partners and their clients, handling day-to-day communication, service needs, and deal activity.
  • Coordinate matrix and custom pricing requests for commercial and industrial electricity and natural gas opportunities, including gathering and validating usage data and preparing client-ready bid sheets and proposals.
  • Target the right suppliers for each opportunity to improve pricing competitiveness and RFP turnaround, and share supplier pricing patterns and market trends with leadership.
  • Manage transactions from pricing through contract execution, booking, and enrollment — coordinating revisions among suppliers, clients, the Sales team, and channel partners, and reviewing final agreements for accuracy.
  • Monitor enrollment and post-execution requirements, clear obstacles, and escalate risks early with a recommended path forward.
  • Manage assigned renewals well ahead of contract expiration and flag retention, expansion, and upsell opportunities within the portfolio.
  • Keep account, pricing, contract, and margin data complete and accurate in the CRM — booking closed transactions on time and resolving discrepancies before they create downstream issues.
  • Contribute to the migration to our new deal-management platform, including data cleanup, workflow design, and team adoption.
  • Build productive working relationships with suppliers and utilities — providing structured post-transaction feedback to suppliers and coordinating account updates, usage history, and enrollment matters with utilities.
  • Train and coach newer team members, and support leadership with reporting, research, and special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Retail energy experience supporting commercial electricity and/or natural gas transactions in deregulated markets.
  • Hands-on experience with pricing requests, bid preparation, contract coordination, enrollments, and renewals.
  • Experience coordinating work across suppliers, utilities, sales teams, and clients.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and attention to detail in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication with clients, partners, and suppliers.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to work independently — owning escalations through to resolution and knowing when to loop in the team lead.
  • Comfort training and supporting teammates.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience across multiple deregulated markets (e.g., ERCOT, PJM).
  • Experience with a CRM or opportunity-management platform (e.g., Salesforce or a broker deal-management system).
  • Associate degree in business administration, operations, energy, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

Perks

  • Full-time, fully remote position
  • Occasional company-paid travel may be required
  • Full health benefits (medical, dental, vision) with a dental buy-up option
  • 10 company-paid holidays
  • Competitive PTO policy
  • Paid volunteer time off to be able to give back to your community
  • 401k (pre-tax and Roth) benefits with company match
  • Company sponsored Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance
  • Remote Work Reimbursement
