Assistant Professor – Dermatology (Academic Clinician-Researcher Track)

Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology

Position Summary

The Department of Dermatology at Emory University School of Medicine seeks a board-certified or board-eligible dermatologist for a full-time faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor on the Academic Clinician-Researcher Track. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive dermatologic care for adult patients, serve as a clinical dermatopathologist, and contribute to the academic, research, and educational missions of the Department.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based dermatologic care to adult patients in ambulatory and affiliated clinical settings.
  • Perform clinical dermatopathology services and participate in multidisciplinary patient care activities.
  • Develop and maintain an active program of clinical and/or translational research.
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees.
  • Participate in departmental, institutional, and professional service activities.
  • Contribute to scholarly publications, presentations, and other academic initiatives consistent with the expectations of the Academic Clinician-Researcher Track.

Required Qualifications

  • M.D., D.O., or equivalent medical degree.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Dermatology.
  • Fellowship training and expertise in Dermatopathology.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Georgia.
  • Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine, research, teaching, and patient care.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
