Position Summary
At CVS Health, we are committed to becoming an employer of choice by creating meaningful opportunities for clinicians and colleagues to grow, advance their education, and build long-term careers within the organization. The Senior Manager, Research Programs & Governance will manage Research Pathways, an enterprise program designed to enable clinicians and other eligible colleagues to successfully fulfill the research requirements of advanced-degree programs while continuing to build their careers at CVS Health.
Clinical Evidence Development (CED) in the Data Strategy and Clinical Intelligence Office provides enterprise-wide strategy, consulting, governance, and oversight for clinical and scientific research and associated deliverables, including scientific consultation, methodological review, publication governance, and external dissemination support to deliver cross-enterprise evidence-generation, thought leadership, and go-to-market efforts. This role will oversee the centralized program structure, guidance, and support needed to help working clinicians navigate the intersection of advanced-degree requirements, academic research, and enterprise governance. The Senior Manager will coordinate participant intake, readiness assessment, project planning, research oversight, approvals, documentation, milestone tracking, compliance coordination, and stakeholder communications.
The role will serve as a consistent point of navigation for participants, people leaders, research mentors, academic institutions, business units, and enterprise reviewers. By aligning academic requirements with feasible, appropriately governed research opportunities, the Senior Manager will help reduce avoidable administrative barriers and create a more supportive and efficient experience for clinicians pursuing advanced degrees.
Through scalable infrastructure and a participant-centered experience, Research Pathways will support professional growth, retention, internal mobility, and a stronger clinician talent pipeline while advancing evidence-based practice and enterprise thought leadership.
This role will work closely with cross-matrixed teams and diverse functional partners to ensure that Research Pathways is accessible, rigorous, well-governed, and responsive to the needs of clinicians and the enterprise.
