Our culture is built on high trust, high agency, and high emotional intelligence. If you’re looking for a place where your voice matters, where work is fun, and where you're empowered to do your best - join us in redefining user research πŸš€

About This Role

Great Question is on a mission to democratize user research. We're a well-funded startup backed by Y Combinator and FundersClub, looking for a driven, coachable Business Development Representative with B2B sales experience to join our fully remote team.

You'll get in early, work on an interesting problem, and have a real impact on both the product and the culture of an early-stage company, while helping shape how teams use research to build software.

BDRs drive revenue by creating pipeline. You'll find the right people at mid-market and enterprise companies who would benefit from our research automation platform, and connect them with our Account Executives.

To succeed here, you'll need the discipline to work independently and either a passion for the research space or the drive to learn it quickly.

This role is remote and open to candidates in the US and Canada.

How to apply: Do the job to get the job. Apply on our website, then find Won You, our hiring manager, and pitch him on a screener call. Tell him why you're a fit and why it's worth his time. Applications without outreach won't be reviewed.

What You'll Do

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Book meetings on target accounts through multi-channel, multi-threaded outreach across phone, LinkedIn and email. Cold calling is your top priority channel, with a minimum of 100 dials a day, so you should be comfortable on the phone. Our Demand Gen builds the lists, sequences and workflows with you, and you'll write manual, personalized outreach where an account calls for it.

  • Qualifying & Handing Off: Book meetings that meet our qualification bar and brief the Account Executive so they walk in knowing the pain, the stakeholders and the timeline.

  • Keeping HubSpot Clean: Log every call, disposition and next step, because our routing and reporting run on it.

  • Bringing Back What You Hear: Share what you learn on calls about copy, outbound approach and channels, and come back with a recommendation on what to change.

About You

  • Sales experience: 1–3 years in sales, ideally selling SaaS to B2B or enterprise customers. You have a quota you can name and attainment you can walk us through, misses included.

  • Comfortable on the phone at volume: You know your own connect rate and conversation-to-meeting rate.

  • Analytical and systematic: You own the outcome. When something isn't working, you figure out why and come back with a recommendation.

  • Coachable: You're always looking to get better, and you can tell us about coaching that changed how you work.

  • Competitive and team-first: You're driven to beat your own numbers and invested in the team hitting its goal.

  • Self-directed: You stay disciplined working remotely at an early-stage company and solve problems before being asked.

  • AI-native: You use Claude or ChatGPT beyond the chat window, such as Claude Code or similar tools, to do your job faster, and you can tell us how.

Nice to Have

  • Startup experience: You've worked at an early-stage company.

Our Interview Process

  1. Get our attention. Apply, then reach Won and sell him on having a screener call with you.

  2. Hiring manager interview (30-minutes). Get to know each other and the role.

  3. Assessment + mock cold call (45-minutes). Show us what you learned about Great Question and how you'd break into one target account, then make a mock cold call.

  4. Final (60-minutes split into 2 30-minute sessions). Meet Harri, our Chief of Staff who oversees the Demand Gen function, and Tucker, our Director of Revenue who oversees Sales.

Each interview is sequential, and you'll hear from us within 48 hours of each one.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

  • A culture of customer obsession and curiosity

  • Opportunity to shape and scale a critical business function

  • Remote-first culture with high trust and high autonomy

  • Annual team retreats and virtual events

  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI integrations that matter

  • Competitive compensation & equity

  • Generous PTO, health benefits, and learning stipend
