Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering, Automation & Productization Consultant to support enterprise networking and digital transformation initiatives within a large global organization.

The consultant will be responsible for helping transform architecture and design concepts into scalable, repeatable, and operationally ready solutions. The role will focus on engineering, automation, validation, productization, standardization, and implementation support activities across multiple initiatives.

The ideal candidate should possess strong enterprise networking fundamentals, combined with experience in automation, engineering best practices, deployment methodologies, and stakeholder engagement.

This is a consulting role requiring the ability to work across architecture, engineering, implementation, and operational teams while operating independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Engineering

·         Support development and review of High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).

·         Review solution designs for scalability, supportability, security, and operational readiness.

·         Develop and maintain engineering standards and design guidelines.

·         Participate in technical governance forums and design review sessions.

·         Support integration between network, application, security, and cloud environments.

Enterprise Networking

·         Provide expertise in enterprise networking technologies

·         Provide expertise in routing, switching, network segmentation, and security integration.

·         Review enterprise connectivity architectures and implementation approaches.

·         Support network security integration and design reviews.

·         Assist with enterprise and cloud connectivity planning.

Automation

·         Identify opportunities for deployment and operational automation.

·         Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts.

·         Support API integration and workflow automation activities.

·         Develop reusable templates, automation artefacts, and engineering accelerators.

·         Support automation initiatives aligned with operational efficiency objectives.

Productization & Standardization

• Create repeatable deployment methodologies and implementation playbooks.

• Develop reusable design templates and reference architectures.

• Establish engineering standards and best practices.

• Support transition from pilot deployments to repeatable production models.

• Capture lessons learned and convert them into reusable frameworks and guidance.​‌

Validation & First Implementation Support

• Support validation and testing activities.
• Participate in pilot and first implementation initiatives.
• Review implementation issues and recommend remediation actions.
• Support design refinements based on field learnings and implementation feedback.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Develop architecture, engineering, and deployment documentation.
• Create operational procedures and implementation guidance.
• Conduct knowledge-transfer workshops and technical walkthroughs.
• Support solution handover to engineering and operational teams.

Experience Requirements

1.       10+ years of experience in enterprise networking, engineering, automation, or solution architecture.

2.       Strong experience in routing, switching, security, and enterprise connectivity.

3.       Experience supporting architecture through implementation and operational handover.

4.       Experience developing standards, reusable templates, and deployment methodologies.

5.       Experience identifying and driving automation opportunities.

6.       Experience working in large global enterprise environments.

7.       Strong customer-facing consulting and stakeholder management experience.

Preferred Certifications

·         Cisco CCNP / CCIE

·         Cisco DevNet

·         AWS / Azure / GCP Certifications

·         Automation / DevOps Certifications

·         TOGAF (Preferred)
