An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join our team where you’ll be leading infrastructure projects - road and rail.

About the business and the role

As an employee-driven environmental and sustainability consultancy, we work with businesses, regulators and government clients to deliver tailored advice on everything from broad strategic challenges to site-specific project

The team delivers end‑to‑end project advisory, environmental approvals and regulatory compliance services — delivering practical, high‑quality outcomes across the full project lifecycle to multiple sectors across Australia. We collaborate closely with our 23 in-house teams to deliver a comprehensive environmental service to clients. Our Brisbane EAC&M team are diverse, well-renowned, and work from our modern offices on Eagle Street with stunning bridge and river views.

This role has a strong focus on managing linear infrastructure projects – road and rail. You’ll lead projects, build direct relationships with key clients and have the autonomy to make your mark. With a clear pathway to Principal, it’s an opportunity to grow your career and build your industry network.


Responsibilities

As a member of the 70 + national EAC&M team, you will support delivery of a range of standalone and multi-disciplinary projects focussing on the delivery of environmental approvals. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Support and contribute to the delivery of environmental approval and management services for a range of projects
  • Take ownership of key projects within the infrastructure sector and develop your network with key clients in this space. 
  • Provide clear, pragmatic advice on best‑practice principles to clients and internal SLR teams
  • Build, maintain and enhance strong working relationships with SLR team members, particularly, across other technical disciplines
  • Deliver the best possible outcome for clients with a focus on quality
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals
  • Delivering clear and precise, high-quality reports

Experience

A high achiever with a results focused attitude, our ideal candidate will possess:

  • A professional qualification in environmental science or engineering or other relevant degree
  • Circa 7-10 years’ experience with extensive experience in private engineering or environmental consulting in the infrastructure sector, and preferably be able to demonstrate TMR project experience
  • A proven project manager who enjoys and excels within the complexities of this work with specialist knowledge of road and rail projects.
  • Experience delivering environmental and management services with a focus on client satisfaction
  • Demonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary project teams to deliver outcomes for clients
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables on competing timeframes
  • A clear, concise and professional writing style
  • Adaptable, fast paced and self-motivated
  • Australia Citizenship or rights to work in Australia.
