Position Summary:

About the Practice

LIFT Consulting has joined Sorren! LIFT Consulting is a boutique training and development firm based in Madison, Wisconsin, helping organizations elevate leadership, strengthen sales, and build cultures where people thrive. Our team partners with companies to address critical challenges like employee engagement, succession readiness, and sales growth by providing tailored training, consulting, and coaching solutions.

Role Summary

The Director of Strategic Partnerships is a high-impact, senior business development role at the heart of LIFT's national growth strategy. You will be the primary force behind identifying, engaging, and converting reseller partners across key professional services verticals, including CPA firms, insurance companies, independent banks, and coaching and training organizations. This is a role for a relationship-first, results-driven professional who thrives in association and membership ecosystems and knows how to turn a warm room into a signed agreement.

You won't be working in isolation. You'll co-close reseller agreements directly alongside the CEO, bringing executive-level credibility and collaborative deal-making to every conversation. Your work sits at the top of the funnel and all the way through close: prospecting, pitching, nurturing, and converting a national pipeline of partners who will carry the LIFT Factor suite into their own client bases.

If you're energized by industry events, membership communities, and the long game of trust-based selling, and you want to do it for a product suite you can genuinely stand behind, this is a compelling opportunity to shape the partner ecosystem of a growing company from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain active relationships within national associations and membership organizations across target verticals, including CPA firms, insurance companies, independent banks, professional services firms, and coaching and training companies
  • Prospect association and membership lists to identify, research, and qualify potential reseller partners
  • Secure introductory meetings and deliver compelling presentations to pitch the LIFT Factor suite reseller agreement
  • Co-close reseller agreements in partnership with the CEO, bringing consultative insight and executive presence to every deal
  • Present training contract opportunities as a secondary offering throughout the sales process
  • Develop and maintain a healthy, well-documented national pipeline of partner prospects at all stages of the funnel
  • Track all outreach, meetings, and deal progress in CRM and deliver regular pipeline reports to the CEO
  • Build deep vertical market knowledge to tailor messaging, positioning, and value propositions to each target segment
  • Represent LIFT at industry events, conferences, and association gatherings to expand brand presence and sourcing opportunities

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of business development or partnership sales experience, preferably in software or SaaS.
  • Proven track record of closing channel, reseller, or partner agreements, including managing a pipeline from first outreach through signed contract.
  • Established relationships or credibility in association and membership ecosystems, such as CPA societies, insurance or banking associations, and professional services groups.
  • Strong executive-level presentation and consultative selling skills, with the ability to co-close deals alongside a CEO.
  • CRM discipline and pipeline reporting, meaning consistent tracking of activity and regular forecasting to leadership.

Compensation

Target base salary range of $100,000 - $150,000, plus commission and bonus structure.  Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Discretionary incentive compensation is based on firm, group, and individual performance.
