Contract Position

We are seeking a Korean Marketplace Representative to serve as our in-market liaison and support our growing presence on Coupang and other South Korean e-commerce channels. This contractor will play a key role in helping our brand successfully navigate the Korean marketplace through localization support, marketplace management, compliance coordination, and market insights.

While candidates located in South Korea are preferred, we welcome applicants from other locations who possess strong Korean language skills and direct experience working with South Korean e-commerce marketplaces.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary liaison between our company, Coupang, and other relevant local partners.
  • Support Korean-language localization of product listings, brand content, promotions, and customer-facing materials.
  • Help ensure products, packaging, labeling, and marketplace activities align with South Korean regulations and marketplace requirements.
  • Manage or coordinate product setup, listing accuracy, pricing, promotional activities, advertising, and overall brand presentation within marketplace platforms.
  • Monitor marketplace performance, customer feedback, competitor activity, and consumer trends, providing regular insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on inventory planning, replenishment, returns, and operational needs.
  • Troubleshoot marketplace challenges related to inventory, account health, fulfillment, fees, customer experience, and other operational matters.
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketplace performance and support continued growth in the Korean market.

What We're Looking For

  • Direct experience managing, supporting, or optimizing seller activity on Coupang or another major South Korean e-commerce marketplace.
  • Professional fluency in both Korean and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of South Korean e-commerce operations, consumer behavior, and marketplace best practices.
  • Familiarity with product listings, digital merchandising, promotions, advertising, and marketplace compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a contractor capacity.
Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Based in South Korea or extensive experience working within the South Korean market.
  • Experience supporting international brands selling through Korean marketplaces.
  • Knowledge of local regulatory, labeling, or consumer requirements related to e-commerce sales.

Contract Details

  • Independent contractor position
  • Remote work arrangement
  • 20-30 hours per week, initial 6-month contract with potential for extension based on business needs and performance
  • Project scope and compensation will be discussed with qualified candidates
