The Principal Enterprise Integration Architect is the senior technical expert who partners closely with the Director of Enterprise Integrations to help shape, execute, and govern the Enterprise Integrations strategy once defined and ratified. The Principal Enterprise Integration Architect translates that strategy into practical standards, reference architectures, integration patterns, and technical guidance that enable secure, scalable connectivity across applications, APIs, data platforms, customer and partner integrations, acquisition initiatives, AI-enabled workflows, and emerging digital capabilities.

Enterprise Integrations is responsible for the connectivity, authorization, identity integration, and data movement fabric beneath applications and systems of record.

The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on integration architecture experience with strong project delivery skills and the ability to influence technical direction across multiple functions and technology domains.


What you'll do:


Enterprise Integration Architecture and Strategy

  • Define and maintain enterprise integration architecture, standards, governance models, and reusable integration patterns.
  • Evaluate enterprise API, event-driven, data movement, identity integration, and connectivity strategies.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and integration approaches to improve enterprise scalability and reuse.
  • Lead architectural reviews of strategic initiatives and provide guidance on integration design approaches.

Cross-Functional Standards and Technical Leadership

  • Partner with application, infrastructure, security, digital product, customer technology, and analytics teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Define authentication, authorization, tokenization, API governance, observability, deployment, and integration lifecycle standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to integration engineers, analysts, and project teams.

Governance, Roadmaps, and Enterprise Adoption

  • Establish and maintain integration governance processes, architecture review boards, and technical decision frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain integration roadmaps aligned with enterprise priorities.
  • Support acquisition integration strategy, customer and partner onboarding architecture, and enterprise automation initiatives.
  • Document architectural decisions, standards, patterns, and implementation guidance for enterprise adoption.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field. Or comparable work experience
  • Master’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise integration, software architecture, platform architecture, or solution architecture roles.
  • 5+ years defining enterprise integration standards and architecture strategies.
  • Deep experience designing enterprise integration architectures supporting ERP, CRM, financial, customer-facing, and cloud-native platforms.
  • Experience with enterprise integration technologies including Boomi, API management platforms, event-driven architectures, data movement platforms, and cloud integration services. Enterprise Integration Engineering is expected to provide architecture and standards across Boomi, Fivetran, APIs, MCP, events, observability, authentication, SaaS, and cloud integration.
  • Experience with identity integration architectures including OAuth 2.x, OpenID Connect (OIDC), Auth0, federation, service identities, machine-to-machine authentication, and token-based security models. Identity and authorization integration are core Enterprise Integrations responsibilities.
  • Experience working within hybrid cloud environments utilizing AWS and enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Strong enterprise architecture and system design skills.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, integration patterns, and cloud-native design principles.
  • Ability to balance governance with delivery agility.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, written, presentation, and executive communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.

  • Remote; 20% or less (air and car) travel required.
  • Regular computer-based work for extended periods.
  • Availability outside regular business hours as needed for critical IT support, deployments, and escalations.
