Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the communities served by Travis Credit Union, which include the following counties: Alameda, Colusa, Contra Costa, Merced, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, and Yolo. For hybrid and remote roles, candidates are still required to reside within a commutable distance of our corporate headquarters in Vacaville, California. We are unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of employment visas for this position. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain valuable insights into the financial services industry. Below are the internship opportunities available:

We will be hiring 6 Interns for our next Internship Cohort for January 4 - July 2, 2027  Financial Analyst InternDepartment: FinanceThis experience provides exposure to key financial analyst responsibilities, including supporting business decision-making, creating forecasts and budgets using Vena, and analyzing budget-to-actual results. They will also develop monthly financial reports, monitor performance trends, and help identify financial risks and opportunities while presenting insights to senior leadership. Inclusion & Engagement Initiatives InternDepartment: Human ResourcesThis experience provides exposure to employee recognition and workplace engagement by researching industry best practices, analyzing program data, and gathering employee feedback. Participants will help evaluate and improve recognition programs, prepare reports and presentations, collaborate with stakeholders, support inclusion and engagement initiatives, maintain internal engagement platforms, and handle employee data with confidentiality and professionalism. Marketing Strategist InternDepartment: MarketingThis experience provides exposure to marketing strategy and member engagement by researching industry trends, analyzing campaign performance, and evaluating how younger generations interact with financial products and digital channels. Participants will help develop insights to improve marketing effectiveness, support content creation and analytics, collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners, and contribute recommendations to enhance future campaigns and member engagement strategies. Information Security Risk Program InternDepartment: Legal/Compliance Risk This experience provides exposure to governance, risk management, and process development by creating documentation, templates, and workflow materials that support business operations. Participants will research risks related to AI tools and third-party vendors, collaborate with stakeholders to refine recommendations, and help design and document governance and security processes that promote compliance and operational effectiveness. Operational Efficiency InternDepartment: Central OperationsThis experience provides exposure to banking operations and process improvement by analyzing workflows, operational data, and team processes to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and service quality. Participants will collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts, develop recommendations to enhance the member experience, create reports and presentations, and support the implementation and tracking of operational improvements. Fraud Protection Services InternDepartment: Fraud Protection Services This experience provides exposure to fraud prevention and analytics by tracking key fraud metrics, analyzing trends, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Participants will help create reports and communications, learn fraud prevention processes and controls, support awareness initiatives and special projects, and gain experience working with confidential data while participating in training and professional development opportunities.

Internship Details
  • Two Cohorts Each Year:
    • Cohort 1: January – July
    • Cohort 2: July – December
  • Now Accepting Applications for Cohort 1 (Term: January 4, 2027 - July 2, 2027)
  • Qualified candidates will be contacted for the initial screening beginning in October 2026.
  • Final candidate selections will be made by December 14, 2026.
  • $25/hour for 20 hours/week.  Monday – Friday between 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (availability on Tuesday 9:00 AM – 1:00 is mandatory)

  • Able to work on-site at our Vacaville, CA headquarters with the opportunity to work hybrid for some roles.
  • You must live within a commutable distance to our corporate headquarters in Vacaville, CA.
