Position Overview
This is a blended underwriting and underwriting support role on our digital channel. You will underwrite primary cyber business flowing through our digital platform, handle the referrals and edge cases that fall outside automated underwriting, and support brokers with day-to-day servicing. You will also be the voice of the broker to our digital and product leadership. You will report to Digital leadership and will earn underwriting authority.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwriting primary cyber business submitted through the digital platform and maintain the digital renewal book.

• Review and resolve referrals and edge cases that fall outside of the automated underwriting flow.

• Process manual bind orders and endorsements and respond to broker follow-up questions.

• Collect broker feedback and share it with digital and product leadership in a structured way.

• Identify appetite gaps and opportunities for product extensions and rule refinements.

• Escalate complex or out-of-authority risks with clear, well-documented recommendations.

• Comply with corporate policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable code of conduct.

Qualifications & Experience

• 1-3 years of cyber underwriting experience.

• Working knowledge of cyber risk, including security controls, ransomware exposures, and cyber coverages.

• Experience with digital insurance platforms or tech-enabled insurance products strongly preferred.

• Sound decision-making and judgment, including knowing when to flag an exception.

• Strong customer service mindset and clear written and verbal communication.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.

• Pacific Time hours preferred, or the ability to regularly work within 9am-5pm PT to support business hours and partner collaboration.

Education
Bachelor's degree

- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Compensation & Benefits:

- Pay: $90,000 to $110,000 annually (commensurate with experience and location).
- Total Compensation Context: This role may be eligible for annual performance bonuses and equity participation.
