ELECTRIC MOTOR TESTING (EMT) & INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY (IR) CONSULTANT/INSTRUCTOR 

The Snell Group, part of the Applied Technical Services (ATS) Family of Companies, is a growing training, testing, and inspection company seeking a trained technician with sound electrical and mechanical aptitude to work remotely and independently with little supervision.

Description:

EMT & IR Consultant/Instructor will work with the Snell Group to provide training and services for our clients.  Work will be scheduled by our home office, travel and lodging will be scheduled by you.  As this is a relatively new technology, extensive previous experience, while desired, is not necessary.

Responsibilities:

EMT & IR Consultant/Instructor will be responsible for delivering all facets of our motor training, certification, and services to our clients.  Some of the responsibilities are as follows:

  • Provide Motor Testing and Power Quality Training:
    • These courses provide comprehensive training on the various types of motors, motor circuit configurations, starting circuits, motor construction, motor rewind procedures, and data analysis techniques for both energized and deenergized motors.  Electricians, technicians, and engineers are provided with necessary knowledge to avert motor failures.
    • Instruct Electric Motor Testing Combined Certification Course
    • Instruct Electric Motor Testing Advanced Analyst Certification Course
    • Instruct Power Quality Analysis Certification Course
    • Instruct Electric Motor Reliability Manager Certification Course
  • Conduct Electric Motor and Power Quality Services.
  • Provide Infrared Thermography ASNT Level I & II Training.
  • Collect and analyze motor, motor circuit, and power quality data.
  • Conduct Infrared Thermography inspections. 
  • Provide customers with detailed reports describing identified anomalies.
  • Be a “self-starter and maintain awareness with existing and upcoming developments with motor tester and power quality technology, motor and motor circuit design, maintenance, and reliability.
  • Develop new and update existing curriculum.
  • Identify client requirements by establishing relationships with potential clients.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge and certifications.
