The Role

The Senior Manager of Estate Desk and Philanthropy will serve as the business lead on the strategy, development, and ongoing evolution of Fidelity Charitable’s estate and legacy giving programs.  Reporting to a Vice President, this role is responsible for scaling programs to support donors, advisors, and related parties through the estate and succession process.  Additionally, you will support initiatives that increase adoption and usage of programs, enhance donor experiences, and strengthen Fidelity Charitable’s ability to support both current and future giving. This role will partner very closely the Director of Estate Gift Compliance, who will be the primary technical authority on gift administration.  

The Senior Manager will serve as the business lead for the estate and legacy support, partnering very closely with Compliance and Operations to develop a sustainable operating model, enhance the donor experience and drive growth in the legacy giving spaces. The role requires balancing strategic program leadership with day-to-day execution while influencing outcomes across a highly matrixed organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys balancing strategic thinking with executional excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Legacy & Estate Strategy and Program Leadership (50%)

  • Co-Lead the strategic vision, roadmap, and ongoing evolution of the Fidelity Charitable estate and legacy giving programs, as well as developing goals and critical metrics aligned with these offerings aligned with organizational priorities 
  • Partner with Compliance to define and evolve the Estate Desk operating model, including estate gift intake, donor intent tracking, gift administration, realization, and post-death contribution processes.
  • Support the development and execution of strategies that expand awareness, adoption, and utilization of legacy and estate giving solutions while growing Fidelity Charitable's planned giving pipeline.
  • Develop strategic partnerships across Fidelity businesses and external collaborators to advance planned giving opportunities, improve donor experiences, and support an integrated donor journey.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation efforts that enhance donor, advisor, executor, and beneficiary experiences while strengthening operational effectiveness and controls. 

Program & Product Management (50%)

  • Lead the execution and ongoing management of donor-facing philanthropic programs aligned to Fidelity Charitable’s strategic priorities. Programs will primarily be aligned to legacy and estate related offerings.  
  • Own program roadmaps, business cases, investment recommendations, and implementation strategies supporting legacy and estate program growth.
  • Evaluate program performance and donor behaviors to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and improved outcomes. 
  • Develop executive-level communications, reporting, and recommendations that inform strategic decision making and organizational priorities.

  • 5+ years of product management, program management, planned giving, trust and estate administration, wealth management, or related experience. 
  • Experience with legacy & gift administration processes, with a focus on program building. 
  • Experience in structural philanthropy, such as DAFs, foundations, corporate giving institutions, and other giving-focused institutions.  
  • Demonstrated expertise working on new business development initiatives
  • Your ability to think strategically and implement collaboratively

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
