Job description

We’re expanding our network of freelance video game subtitlers for a potential localization project in 2027.

This search is intended to build our freelance talent pool. The project is not yet confirmed, and applying does not guarantee an immediate assignment. We’d love to connect with qualified professionals and contact them as opportunities become available.

We’re looking for subtitlers who are native speakers of one of the following languages:

  • Arabic

  • Brazilian Portuguese

  • Simplified Chinese

  • Traditional Chinese

  • Indonesian

  • Italian

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Polish

  • Russian

  • European Spanish

  • Latin American Spanish

  • Thai

  • Turkish

  • Vietnamese

Requirements

  • Native proficiency in the target language and excellent command of your source language.

  • Proven experience in video game subtitling and audiovisual localization.

  • Understanding of tactical FPS games, gaming terminology, and culture.

  • Strong knowledge of subtitling guidelines, including timing, characters per second (CPS), line breaks, and formatting.

  • Experience with video game localization workflows and professional subtitling tools.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality linguistic output.

  • Ability to follow project instructions and meet agreed deadlines.
