Job description

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Finance is responsible for the sound financial management of Multiview and the delivery of efficient, value-added financial and administrative services.  The incumbent leads the regular operations of the finance team and strive to support and improve the operations of the whole company.

The Director of Finance provides guidance and direction on financial and operating priorities to ensure that Multiview operates in accordance with organizational strategic directions and manages the financial and accounting department for Multiview.

The incumbent oversees all accounting function for Multiview’s US and Canadian operations, evaluating, and directing accounting, audits, development of financial policies, procedures that need implementation. Oversee monthly consolidated financial statements, annual budget preparations, executive payrolls, financial reports, and analysis for the chief executives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Finance leadership:

  • Oversee activities associated with the finance and accounting function.
  • Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders including the CFO and CEO
  • Manage the accounting function including A/P, A/R, Collections, Payroll, etc.
  • Lead and drive monthly and quarterly close cycles
  • Ensure tax and compliance filings including S&U tax compliance and nexus analysis
  • Develop, implement, and apply accounting and finance policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare and maintain financial metrics and industry standard metrics (SaaS)
  • Manage treasury and forex management programs alongside the CFO, including hedging
  • Assist with the development of annual financial budgets and ongoing resource allocation planning.
  • Coaching, training, and retaining a skilled finance team
  • Own and manage the annual audit process with external audit partner; and
  • Drive automation and adoption of technologies, including AI, within the finance and reporting function

Operations leadership:

  • Implement processes, practices, and policies into place for a strong organizational control environment that supports corporate security practices.
  • Develop and monitor business performance metrics and support departments designing actions that focus on improving results and build value for Multiview and clients.
  • Partner with other departments, such as GTM and Rev Ops, to maintain and improve processes, billings, pricing, and data accuracy across the business
  • Support the CFO with ad-hoc analysis, strategic finance initiatives, and broader team goals

The expected salary range for this role is $140,000 to $160,000.00 CAD annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

  • Teamwork – works with multiple teams cross-functionally and must know how to effectively address the needs of each team while always keeping the client’s outcomes as the driver.
  • Initiative – Seeks, accepts, and completes new tasks using own initiative; works independently with little supervision.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience Level: Minimum 7 years leadership experience leading finance teams
  • Experience operating in multi-currency and multi-entity environments with consolidation reporting
  • Comfortable working in an Outlook/Windows environment and experience implementing new systems and AI initiatives
  • Previous experience in an financial leadership role and participation in organization-wide reporting and compliance activities. 
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve challenging projects.
  • Analytical, and data-driven, but trust your instincts in order to move fast.
  • Flexible in approaches to dealing with challenges but seek to create scalable processes within a growing company.
  • Willingness to directly support the team with work if required to ensure outcomes are met.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere
  • Possess a high level of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
  • Experience effectively representing Multiview’s values, building, and advancing the reputation of the company and its clients.

PREFERRED:

  • A recognized and valid professional accounting designation
  • Experience with and knowledge of Multiview Financial Software would be considered an asset
