POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Project Manager is an advanced individual contributor within the Global Corporate Services Project Management Office (GCS PMO). The role leads multiple medium- and large-scale, highly complex technical and business initiatives from initiation through delivery, adoption, and closure. Working with Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Marketing, business practices, and third-party partners, the Senior Project Manager translates strategic objectives into executable roadmaps, governance, plans, and measurable outcomes that modernize the firm’s systems, processes, data, and operating capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead multiple concurrent, cross-functional projects of high complexity, ensuring delivery within approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, and benefit targets.
  • Guide projects through the full lifecycle, including intake, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, implementation, adoption, and closure.
  • Develop project charters that define objectives, scope, deliverables, governance, decision rights, success measures, assumptions, and constraints.
  • Create and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, dependency maps, and milestone forecasts.
  • Establish fit-for-purpose governance and apply waterfall, hybrid, systems development lifecycle, agile, or scrum practices according to the needs of each initiative.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and maintain essential project artifacts, including business requirements, use cases, gap analyses, design documentation, communication plans, test plans, implementation plans, and transition materials.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, and changes; take corrective action and escalate promptly when outcomes are at risk.
  • Prepare clear, audience-appropriate status reports and executive updates that communicate progress, financials, risks, decisions, and required actions.
  • Build and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting in partnership with sponsors and appropriate financial stakeholders.
  • Partner with functional leaders to secure resources, identify capacity constraints, resolve competing priorities, and maintain realistic delivery commitments.
  • Assess stakeholder and organizational impacts and partner with sponsors and change leaders to develop communication, engagement, training, adoption, and reinforcement strategies.
  • Ensure operational readiness and a successful transition to business and technology owners, including support models, knowledge transfer, documentation, and training as applicable.
  • Support requests for proposal, vendor evaluation, selection, contracting, and delivery oversight; hold third-party partners accountable for commitments and outcomes.
  • Clarify project roles and responsibilities, set expectations, facilitate decisions, resolve conflict, and drive accountability across teams without relying on direct authority.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to shape project strategy, roadmaps, governance, and measurable business value.

LEADERSHIP & PMO CONTRIBUTION:

  • Serve as a project management subject matter expert and trusted advisor on complex business and technology initiatives.
  • Work with substantial independence and broad latitude for judgment while maintaining alignment with sponsors, steering committees, and PMO leadership.
  • Mentor and coach less-experienced project managers and contribute actively to the Project Management Community of Practice.
  • Recommend improvements to GCS PMO standards, templates, methods, tools, and governance to strengthen delivery maturity and consistency.
  • Apply analytical thinking and structured problem solving to remove obstacles and help teams address complex challenges.
