Job Description:

Company Overview

Alpine, an ITW company, is a leading provider of building component software, equipment, and service to component manufacturers. Partnering with customers, Alpine helps improve business operations, increase productivity, reduce paperwork, and deliver software solutions that improve profitability in the construction industry.

Position Summary

The Product Solutions Consultant is a hybrid role responsible for helping Alpine customers adopt, optimize, and expand their use of Alpine software while representing customer and market needs within the Agile software development process. Approximately 70% of the role is focused on Software Consultant responsibilities: customer demonstrations, implementation, training, technical assistance, territory support, and partnership with Sales. Approximately 30% of the role is focused on Product Manager responsibilities: translating market needs into product requirements, supporting roadmap and backlog prioritization, and collaborating with Engineering, Support, Marketing, Operations, and Sales to deliver successful software releases.

This role serves as a key technical advisor to customers and a voice of the customer to internal product and development teams. The ideal candidate builds trusted relationships, understands plant and business operations, identifies software-driven productivity improvements, and communicates clearly across customer and internal stakeholder groups.

Core Responsibilities

·         Partner with customers within an assigned territory to help them get the most value from Alpine software and improve business operations.

·         Maintain existing customer relationships and support new business opportunities by providing software demonstrations, technical assistance, and subject matter expertise.

·         Partner with Sales on customer priorities, prospect evaluations, new account acquisition, and territory growth opportunities.

·         Evaluate plant operations to determine how Alpine software can increase productivity, reduce paperwork, and improve workflow efficiency.

·         Manage technical implementation projects, including installation coordination, business rule files, training, go-live support, and transition to the Help Desk team.

·         Serve as the territory software expert for escalated and higher-level customer requests.

·         Introduce customers to new software features, explain release value, and support adoption of enhancements.

·         Build rapport and lasting relationships with customer leadership, designers, estimators, production teams, and other key users.

·         Translate customer, territory, and market requirements into clear themes, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product enhancement requests.

·         Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Support, Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Solutions Delivery to align customer needs with business, quality, and functional goals.

·         Partner with technical leads and development teams to clarify scope, priorities, customer impact, and desired outcomes for development cycles.

·         Provide detailed specifications, examples, workflow context, and end-user perspective so development teams understand the product vision and customer problem.

·         Act as a product ambassador internally and externally by explaining product direction, release value, customer impact, and adoption considerations.

·         Support successful product releases by helping validate features, communicate changes, prepare field-facing guidance, and gather post-release feedback.

Key Competencies

·         Customer Focus - Makes customers and their needs a primary focus; develops productive relationships.

·         Technical Consulting - Understands customer workflows, software implementation needs, and operational improvement opportunities.

·         Product Thinking - Connects customer problems, business value, usability, quality, and release priorities into actionable product input.

·         Communication - Conveys information clearly to internal and external stakeholders and listens actively.

·         Building Partnerships - Develops relationships within and across work groups to achieve results.

·         Business Savvy - Understands business operations and the levers that drive productivity, profitability, and growth.

·         Decision Making - Gathers and interprets information, evaluates options, and supports timely decisions.

·         Adaptability - Maintains effectiveness through changing responsibilities, priorities, processes, technology, and customer needs.

·         Team Player - Works collaboratively with Sales, Solutions Delivery, Support, Product, Engineering, and customers to deliver value.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Architecture, Construction Management, Marketing, or a comparable discipline preferred; MBA or advanced product/business training is a plus.

·         3+ years of experience in construction technology, component manufacturing, truss design, software consulting, software implementation, product management, or a related field preferred.

·         Ability to travel 50% of the time.

·         Experience with technical implementation of software and customer training preferred.

·         Experience in the truss, building components, construction, or construction software industry preferred.

·         Experience interacting with customers in a service, support, consulting, implementation, sales engineering, or technical advisory capacity.

·         Experience contributing to Agile software product development; familiarity with Scrum, SAFe, backlogs, user stories, and release planning preferred.

·         Strong organizational, project management, communication, and presentation skills.

·         Self-motivated, energetic, independent, results-driven, and able to work autonomously and as part of a cross-functional team.
