Role Summary

The Senior Sales Lead - Midwest USA will be responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic customer engagement across the Midwest region of the United States. This high-impact commercial role will focus on developing and executing regional sales strategies, building executive-level customer relationships, leading complex enterprise sales cycles, and expanding Camlin's presence within key utility, transmission, distribution, energy, and rail accounts.

The successful candidate will leverage deep industry expertise, a strong network within the utilities and infrastructure sectors, and proven consultative selling skills to accelerate growth, develop strategic partnerships, and position Camlin as a trusted technology partner throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Midwest sales strategy to achieve annual revenue targets and long-term growth objectives.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across investor-owned utilities, cooperatives, municipalities, transmission operators, renewable energy providers, and rail organizations.
  • Own the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting and stakeholder engagement through solution development, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Collaborate closely with technical, product, marketing, and operations teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting, market intelligence, and competitive insights to leadership.
  • Develop strategic account plans for high-value customers across the Midwest region.

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executive sponsors, operational leaders, engineering teams, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Deliver compelling presentations, workshops, business cases, and product demonstrations that communicate Camlin's value proposition.
  • Represent Camlin at industry conferences, utility forums, trade associations, and customer events throughout the Midwest.
  • Work collaboratively with channel partners, distributors, consultants, and system integrators to identify and accelerate market opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers navigating grid modernization, asset management, and infrastructure resilience initiatives.

Commercial Leadership

  • Serve as the senior commercial representative for the Midwest region, driving customer-centric growth and market development.
  • Influence cross-functional teams to support strategic opportunities and successful project execution.
  • Provide market feedback to support product development and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Support broader North American business objectives through collaboration with sales leaders across the United States and globally.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, account strategies, and commercial excellence initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 7+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience, with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets in the utility, energy, electrical infrastructure, industrial technology, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrated success selling complex technical solutions, software, analytics platforms, or industrial technologies into utility and infrastructure customers.
  • Strong knowledge of the Midwest utility and energy market, including key investor-owned utilities, cooperatives, municipalities, and transmission organizations.
  • Experience engaging with executive-level decision-makers and managing long, consultative sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly across the Midwest region and occasionally internationally.

Preferred Experience

  • Existing network of contacts within Midwest utilities, transmission organizations, energy operators, or rail infrastructure providers.
  • Experience working with monitoring technologies, grid modernization solutions, asset performance management platforms, or predictive analytics tools.
  • Background working with channel partners, distributors, engineering consultants, or system integration partners.
  • Familiarity with grid reliability initiatives, renewable energy integration, and utility digital transformation programs.
  • Previous experience mentoring junior sales professionals or leading regional commercial initiatives.

Location

Midwest USA (Remote/Home Office Based)

Preference may be given to candidates located in key Midwest markets such as Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa, or surrounding states, with the ability to travel extensively throughout the region
