UX/UI Designer Trainee 

UX/UI Designer Trainee

Are you an art or design student interested in becoming a UX/UI Designer? Join us to shape intuitive digital experiences through user research, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and interface design while learning from experienced UX/UI professionals.

Internship Purpose

To develop professional expertise in UX/UI design while supporting the delivery of intuitive, accessible, and user-centered digital solutions. The role provides hands-on experience in user research, interface design, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration within the UX/UI Design team.

Key Tasks & Success Measures:

  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes across multiple projects, with success measured by the quality and usability of delivered UX/UI assets.
  • Support user research, usability testing, and analysis of feedback, demonstrating progress in research, prototyping, and interface design skills and using insights to improve solutions through iterations.
  • Contribute to design systems and UI component libraries while applying accessibility and design system standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with designers, developers, and business stakeholders on digital projects.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory active student status in UX Design, Digital Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia Design, HCI, or a related field.
  • Portfolio demonstrating design thinking and digital design projects.
  • Basic knowledge of Figma or similar design tools.
  • Understanding of usability, information architecture, and user-centered design principles.
  • Good communication skills and English proficiency at B2 level.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, including one day per week in the GBS Gdańsk office.
  • Experience with user research or usability testing is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and AI-powered design tools is a plus.

What we offer: 

  • A contract of mandate with an hourly rate of PLN 31.40 gross
  • Internship for a minimum of 3 months, with the possibility to extend it to 6 or 9 months.
