Position: Senior Software Engineer

FT/PT Status: Full-Time

Location: Remote

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field required.

Overview: Kreative Technologies is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver reliable, scalable software solutions. You will shape system architecture, write production code and guide engineering practices on the team.

The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer who thinks about the whole system, not just the code. You should be comfortable leading technical design and mentoring other engineers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • • Designs software architecture and components for new and existing systems.
  • • Develops, tests and deploys high-quality production code.
  • • Leads technical design reviews and code reviews.
  • • Improves system performance, scalability and security.
  • • Builds and maintains automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.
  • • Mentors software engineers and shares best practices.
  • • Works with product, test and operations teams to deliver releases.
  • • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • • Strong experience with Java, C#, Python or a similar language.
  • • Experience with software design patterns, APIs and relational databases.
  • • Experience with Git, CI/CD and Agile development.
  • • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • • Continually required to use common office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners and printers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • • Experience with cloud platforms, containers and microservices.
  • • Cloud certification such as AWS Certified Developer or Azure Developer Associate.
  • • Experience supporting federal government contracts.

Compensation: $85,850 – $95,389 per year
