Harbor Compliance is a leading technology platform for entity compliance, helping more than 80,000 businesses and nonprofits manage licensing, tax registration, and legal entity requirements nationwide. Founded in 2012 and recognized repeatedly by the Inc. 5000 and Deloitte Technology Fast 500, we've grown through five strategic acquisitions — and are now backed by a 2026 majority growth investment from Bregal Sagemount to accelerate product, AI, and customer experience. We're a passionate team making compliance simpler and smarter for every organization we serve.

Partner Account Executive

The Partner Account Executive is a strategic driver of growth responsible for sourcing, structuring, and closing new referral and reseller partnerships that fuel Harbor's revenue engine. This is a hunting role: you'll identify and sign new partners — accounting firms, and other professional service providers — who can refer or resell our compliance solutions to their own client base, then hand off to our Channel Account Management team for ongoing enablement and relationship management. By building strong early relationships and structuring compelling partnership agreements, the Partner Account Executive delivers significant organizational value through consistent, predictable new-partner revenue. This position is ideal for a results-oriented professional with a hunter mentality who thrives on opening doors and closing deals with new strategic partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective referral and reseller partners, with a focus on accounting firms and other professional service providers.
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new partnership agreements, structuring referral fees, reseller terms, and other incentive models that motivate partners to refer business.
  • Lead the full partnership deal cycle — from first outreach through negotiation, legal review, and signature.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and value propositions that clearly communicate Harbor's solutions to legal and compliance-adjacent partners.
  • Identify new referral opportunities by applying market insight to help prospective partners recognize the compliance needs within their own client bases.
  • Collaborate closely with Channel Account Management and internal fulfillment/support teams to ensure a seamless handoff and onboarding of newly signed partners.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and deal tracking in CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce) to support forecasting and attribution.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics to continually refine targeting and outreach strategy for new partner segments.

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in business development, partnerships, or channel sales, with a proven track record of sourcing and closing new partnership or referral agreements.
  • Demonstrated success performing in a high-growth environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in enterprise CRM systems, such as HubSpot or Salesforce, for pipeline tracking and forecasting.
  • Proven ability to structure and negotiate partnership agreements (referral, reseller) that lead to measurable new revenue.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple deals and priorities independently.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations, legal, and customer experience teams to ensure smooth partner handoff and onboarding.
  • Resourceful and action-oriented, comfortable operating independently in a hunting, quota-carrying role.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with B2B affiliate marketing strategies and modern partner management tools.
  • Prior experience selling or partnering within the accounting, or compliance services space.
  • Ability to translate market and competitive data into actionable prospecting and outreach strategy.
